We get asked many questions about all-inclusive cabin charters and together we’ve compiled a list of the most frequent in easy to follow sections.

CHARTER CREW, FLEET & SERVICE What is the difference between a fully crewed charter and a by the cabin/allinclusive cabin cruise/charter? With an All-inclusive crewed charter, you have exclusive you have exclusive use of a premium yacht and are attended to by a professional crew of two-three people with five-star food and service. Cabins are private double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. You can create your own bespoke itinerary with advice and recommendations from the crew. Crewed charter hire must be for a minimum of three to four nights, depending on location, except for the Christmas holiday period when the minimum hire period is seven nights. Full board includes skilled cuisine using fine foods from a preference list provided in advance of the charter. An all-inclusive by the cabin cruise/charter (BTC) has a professional crew of two people, or three if the catamaran is over 60ft. You can book a private double cabin with its own ensuite bathroom. Our all-inclusive by the cabin charters have set, guaranteed departure dates, even if the yachts is not fully booked, and set itineraries ranging from three to ten nights. Full board is a set menu and what is included in terms of food and drink can vary depending on location. What is included will be clear when you receive your quote.

Who makes up the crew on a by the cabin/all-inclusive cabin cruise/charter? An all-inclusive by the cabin cruise/charter includes a skipper to sail the boat for you and a chef. Crews are dedicated to specific yachts and are full time resident onboard. Who will be sharing the yacht with me in the other cabins? As well as the crew, there will be other guests who have booked cabins just like you. We find there is typically a varied group of nationalities and ages. How old are the yachts? They are a mixture of ages and all our all-inclusive by the cabin cruise/charter boats have regular refits and are professionally maintained. We do not give out ages for the BTC operated catamarans.

What yacht sizes are in the fleet? We’ve a good range of yacht sizes, from 44ft to 82ft.

Will I get assigned a crew at the time of booking and can we talk to them/see who we will get before we travel? We are unable to provide crew profiles in advance for our all-inclusive by the cabin cruise/charters. All our crews are all handpicked by us for their sailing experience, culinary skills, and expert local knowledge.

DINING What is the meal plan and when is food served? Meals are always full board but the drinks package can vary depending on destination. Information is available on the website and detailed in every quote provided. Meals are served morning, midday and evening, although times may vary according to itinerary and arrival time of anchorage. What drinks are included and offered on the yachts? Water, tea and coffee are included at every meal time. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, including table wine and local aperitifs (punch, rum and fruit juice) may be included as part of your charter, depending on location. Otherwise, drinks can be paid for in cash on board. What is included will be clear when you receive your quote. Are snacks available between meals? In the afternoon tea and cake/biscuits are served.

Can we see sample menus? Sample menus are not available, as chefs use a variety of local produce available at the time of your charter. Meals consist of two or three courses.

How are special dietary requirements managed? The chef can be made aware of any specific dietary requirements but cannot prepare specific meals. There is always plenty of fruit or vegetables on board. Please talk to our team for advice.

How can we find out what offers are available? You can browse all our special offers on our website. Also, when you select a departure date, you will see if there are any live discounts available. You can also sign up to our newsletter to keep updated about our special offers.

Which routes are bookable for the festive period? Usually, it is only the Caribbean and Bahamas that do not operate at this time of the year. Therefore, you can try the Pacific, Indian Ocean and Asia.

What will be included in the quote? The quote will make clear everything that is included and not included as standard. It will also give any extras that need to be paid locally, such as the Cash Box, transfer fees for some destinations and crew gratuity.

Do I pay gratuity? It is at your discretion but it is usual for 5-10% of the cost of the cabin for allinclusive by the cabin cruise/charters.

What is the Cash Box for and can I pay for it in advance? The Cash Box is used for local fees, depending on the destination, such as:      ● Custom taxes      ● National park fees and cruising tax      ● Tourist taxes and landing fees on islands      ● Mooring fees      ● Possible re-fills of water, fuel, gas, fresh products      ● Miscellaneous i.e. repurchase of broken crockery, lost fishing lines or lure The Cash Box must be paid locally and direct to the crew. It cannot be accepted by us in advance, even for tour operators.

Do you hold a cabin while I decide? We understand there is a lot to think about before confirmation and we can provisionally hold a cabin for 48 hours if the booking is not within eight weeks of departure.

Is it possible to negotiate the 30% deposit? The full deposit is required to confirm the booking.

How do we know which yacht we will get and is this guaranteed at the time of booking? The boat type is detailed on the option, invoice and the confirmation. Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, we may have to change the boat but it will always be replaced with one of a similar standard.

Can I choose which cabin I want when I book? You can request your preferred cabin. While we cannot guarantee your preference, we will do our best on a first-come, firstserved basis.

What happens if I am the only cabin booked on the yacht? The sailing is a guaranteed departure regardless of being fully booked. How much does a single person pay for sole use of a cabin? The single occupancy rate is usually 70% of the price of a double cabin.  This rate varies per boat and time of year, so do email our team on [email protected] or call on 02380 455527 for more information.

GETTING THERE &  DEPARTURE Do you provide on island transfers to and from the airport? Most bases offer transfers and if you need this service, we can add to your quote. Note that we only transfer from the airport to the boat or boat to airport. If you are staying at a hotel, you will need to talk to your hotel for assistance.

What day do yachts depart? It varies depending on destination but many are Saturday. You can check this on our website.

How flexible is the itinerary for an all-inclusive by the cabin cruise/charter? The yacht itinerary is set and not flexible even if you book all the cabins.

What happens if the weather changes? The captain may decide to change the itinerary if there is bad weather.

Is there air conditioning in the cabins? The cabins have air conditioning between 8am and 10pm each day. They are turned off at night to avoid noise disturbance. The cabins stay cool, hatches can be opened and there are small fans in the cabin.

When the yacht is moored but not at a marina, how do guests get to the shore? The crew takes guests to the shore using a dinghy.

What linen is included? Two sets of linen, towels and beach towels per cabin per week are provided.

Are the cabins serviced by the crew during the sail? The public areas are cleaned by the crew but not the private cabins.

What type of luggage is recommended? Soft-luggage is always recommended for storage on board.

What footwear is recommended for clients when onboard? Barefeet is best!

Do life vests have to be worn on board? No, they do not need to be worn.

Can I use my hairdryer and hair straighteners on board? Usually you can, but it will depend on the boat so please check prior to arrival. Hairdryers are not provided in the cabins.

Can I charge my mobile phone / tablet on board? Usually you can but it depends on the boat.

What travel adapters do I need to take? The yachts/catamarans will usually require either a European or US adapter, but this will need to be confirmed at time of booking with your Tour Operator/ Agent.

Is there Wi-Fi available on board? Wi-Fi isn’t available.

How much cash should I carry? This is your preference.

What is the smoking policy on the yachts? Smoking is only permitted in the very rear of the catamaran with respect given to non-smoking guests.
