Mid-State is offering a 3 college credit Medical Terminology class for Pacelli students starting January 22 from 2:15 - 3:10 at the Stevens Point Mid-State campus.

Jan. 2 - 12 - J-Term is in session

The class will cost approximately $650. You would be responsible for the cost of the class and textbooks. The Medical Terminology course is for 3 college credits.

Jan. 22 - NO SCHOOL

This class meets in person at the Stevens Point Mid-State campus on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:15 pm to 3:10 pm. Students will then need to do some work online. The course starts on 1/22/18 and goes until 5/16/17. Please stop down by the high school office to pick-up a pr e-r egist r at ion form.

J-Ter m Pict u r e Updat e Class: The Magic of Pixar Activity: Picture 1: Students learning how color helps tell a visual story. Picture 2: Learning about lighting scenes with an interactive module from Ratatouille.

1 Class: Dive into Science Activity: With all the excitement they are having they stopped to pose for a group picture in Naples and also pictured they were learning and bonding with the wild life in Florida.

Class: Peru Team Activity: Day 2 of our Peru adventure. During breakfast we enjoyed the yogurt we helped make the night before. It was delicious!! We were able to explore the grounds. Around noon we went to a street Mass; it was a great experience sharing the Mass with the people of Peru. It was 74° out today and we are not missing the Wisconsin weather yet! It was a perfect day for all our adventures.

Car din al Spor t s HockeyOn Tuesday, 1/9 the Pacelli Co-op hockey team traveled to Oshkosh to take on the Ice Hawks and they lost a close game 5-3. Scoring for the Cardinals were, Richard Zupan who had 2 goals, Daniel Mitch who had 1 goal and one assist and Brad Maes who had one assist.Trevin Milbauer had 17 saves in the goal. The Cardinals are currently 2-11 overall and 0-6 in Conference. Their next game is Friday, Jan. 19th when they host Fond du Lack Springs in a Badgerland Conference game at KB Willett Ice Arena. Face-off is set for 7:00 pm. Gir ls HockeyPacelli Co-ops hockey team had busy week. On Friday, 1/5 they traveled to Milwaukee to take on the Lakeshore Lightning and they won 4-0. Kendra Robinson had a big game as she scored 3 goals. Shelby Tryba had an assist. On Saturday, 1/6 they stayed in Milwaukee as they took on the Wildcats of Milwaukee University School. They beat the Wildcats 4-1. Kendra Robinson had 3 assists and Shelby Tryba had 2 assists. On Monday, 1/8 the Cardinals traveled to Appleton to take on the Fox Cities Stars. They played to an overtime 3-3 tie. Shelby Tryba had an assist in the game. They currently have a 10-1-2 record. Their next game is Thursday, Jan. 18th when they travel to Minocqua to take on the Lakeland Union Thunderbirds. Face-off is set for 6:00 pm. Boys Bask et ballThe Pacelli Boys Basketball team hosted the Stratford Tigers in a non-conference game on Saturday, Jan. 6th. The Tigers beat the Cardinals in a good game 67-62. Leading the Cardinals were Andrew Blanker who had 29 points. AJFirminhac had 10 points and Mitch Miller chipped in with 9 points. On Tuesday, Jan. 9th the Cardinals got back into conference play as they hosted the Wildcats of Wild Rose High School in a big CWC-South game. The Cardinals beat the Wildcats 56-44. Cam Cloud led the Cardinals in scoring as he had 18 points. Nate Helms had 10 points and AJFirminhac had 9 points and 10 rebounds. The Cardinals are currently 8-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference, their next game is on Friday, Jan. 19th when they travel to Rosholt in a CWC-South match-up. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm. Gir ls Bask et ballThe girls basketball team played 3 games last week. In the first game they traveled to Bowler to take on the Panthers in a non-conference game. The Cardinals beat the Panthers 62-55. Leading the Cardinals were Sarah Mueller who had 20 points and 8 rebounds. Morgan Kuckkahn had 15 points, Claire Rogers had 12 points and 6 rebounds. In their second game on Saturday, Jan. 6th the Cardinals traveled to Fond du Lac to take on the 6th ranked St. Mary?s Springs Ledgers. The Cardinals were defeated 48-40. Sarah Mueller led the Cardinals with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Jenelle Higgins had 10 points and Amanda Klasinski had 7 points and 9 rebounds. On Tuesday, Jan. 9th the Cardinals got back into the conference schedule as they traveled to Wild Rose to take on the Wildcats in a CWC-South game. The Cardinals handled the Wildcats as they beat them 57-27. Sarah Mueller once again led the Cardinals with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Morgan Kuckkahn and Amanda Klasinski had 9 points and Sami Miller chipped in with 7 points. The Cardinals are currently 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference. Their next game is Friday, Jan. 19th when they host the Rosholt Hornets in a CWC-South game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm. Cu r lin gThere was a Curling Bonspiel that took place over the weekend for Stevens Point curling. It is called Tietge Bonspiel it was held for the 66 year in Wausau. 24 teams competed over the two-day event. The Stevens Point Varsity team which includes Pacelli Junior Thomas Whelihan took first place in the second event.
