PAYROLL MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY Under direct supervision the Payroll Manager will provide strong, detail oriented and efficient support to the HR/Payroll Director handling bi-weekly payroll processing and administration along with daily administrative and clerical HR/Payroll functions. This position will also assist with Employee Relations, HR Reports and metrics along with providing administrative/clerical support to the HR/Payroll Director and the VP/CFO.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS                       

Bi-weekly payroll processing and administration Batch and handout bi-weekly payroll checks to directors Responsible for accurate and timely ADP entries and updates Prepares new employee files. Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files. Maintain and update all personnel records ensuring that files are in compliance with legal requirements and are always audit ready Complete annual personnel file audits. Conducts all mandatory pre-employment background screenings and ensure that results are properly and appropriately filed Ensure that appropriate credentials i.e. degrees/diplomas/certifications/licenses etc. are received from all employees along with new hire packages. Maintain spreadsheet to track and update degrees/diplomas/certifications/licenses Ensure that Acknowledgements for Employee Handbooks are received from new hires in a timely manner and filed in respective employee’s folders Ensure that new hire employment and termination information is entered into Daxko. Verifies I-9 documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Conducts E-Verify Notify directors of outstanding online training for their direct reports Complete monthly HR statistics report Complete bi-weekly FTE Reports Assists with employee recognition programs by ensuring that birthday cards, anniversary certificates and tenure pins are sent out on a timely basis Timely update HR Notice Boards in all locations Must be willing to learn New Employee Orientation material in order to conduct training sessions when required Assists New Hires with proper completion of new hire paperwork. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in a timely manner Publish list of public holidays at the beginning of each year Make photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions

Assists VP/CFO with administrative support to include filing and special projects



Must be willing to participate in annual campaign and fundraiser events

JOB REQUIREMENTS                     

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration/Accounting At least two years’ experience as a Payroll specialist Certified Payroll Certification is a definite plus or ADP Certifications ADP PayExpert/Workforce Now knowledge and experience required ADP EzLabor knowledge and experience required ADP Reporting knowledge and experience required Knowledgeable regarding HR and Employment Laws is a definite plus Must be accurate with strong attention to Detail Must be professional and display strong sense of emotional maturity Must have strong numerical skills Must be extremely organized with time management and prioritization abilities Must be willing to learn and to grow in the position Must be receptive to training and learning Ability to work under stressful situations and to sometimes put in long hours, when required Must be able to work under tight deadlines Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues Computer knowledge & experience (Microsoft products) Excellent communication skills Strong work ethic Ability to work at our Boynton location every Thursday to assist directors with payroll matters Must practice Y core values
