STEM SHORT TERM SUMMER PROGRAM Interested in exploring STEM in the US? This summer, travel to Washington, DC and join STEM enthusiasts ages 14-18 from around the world for a two-week program in the nations capitol! Stay with an American family, visit STEM related sites and museums, share STEM with local youth, improve your English, and build relationships to last a lifetime!

DATES: JULY 14-29, 2018 Spend mornings in STEM themed English classes or giving a STEM themed presentation at a local school. Then join your classmates on daily visits to STEM themed sites throughout the area – visit a government agency, learn about space engineering with NASA, biotechnology at the National Institutes of Health, and conservation in the Chesapeake Bay. Finally, round out your trip by volunteering at a local non-profit and visiting a STEM department at a local university.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2018 Evenings and weekends will be spent with your host family where you can improve your English, engage in various cultural activities, and build relationships to last a lifetime. Gain a unique perspective on STEM in the US and how you are a part of an ever changing world as you spend some time in DC this summer!
