You shall not worship any god other than Me You shall not make any idols of any type You shall not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain Remember to keep the Sabbath Holy Honor your father and your mother You shall not murder You shall not commit adultery You shall not steal You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
Jesus and the Truth Jesus said that He came into the world to bear witness to the Truth, to the Father (Joh 18:37) Jesus also said that He is the Truth (Joh 14:6) The Truth will set us free (Joh 8:32) The Truth and us Some people, the crowds, reject Christ because they prefer the father of lies and they hate the Truth (Joh 8:32-59) Our role is to take a decision to live our life in Truth The Holy Spirit leads us into all Truth The Holy Spirit creates in us transparency regardless of the situation The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy
(Pro 12:22) Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body (Eph 4:25) 1 Kings 22:1-40 The King of Israel rejected the Truth and chose the lies Although he did not lie directly, he was a transmitter of a lie and is considered a liar and a partner in the lie He promoted rumors
Indirect lying is also lying We are to examine the truthfulness of the stories before transmitting them (Col 2:8) Jesus taught us to be ‘as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves’
(Mat 10:16)
The importance of scrutiny and investigation Do not believe everything that you hear. Do not judge things before scrutinizing them and even investigating them (1 Joh 4:1-6) The Bible stipulates the testimony of eyewitnesses in order to prove a claim (Deu 17:6, Mat 18:16, 2 Cor 13:1) One witness is not considered enough for the following reasons: Being ignorant of some of the facts Not being sure about the facts The existence of some exaggeration Mishearing of information Unreliable sources Bad intention – omission of details for personal reasons – personal wish to hurt the suspected person – wish to create conflict Investigation is a must even when there are many witnesses Many witnesses can have the same unified wrong source of information Some groups agree about giving the same false testimony In Gen 37:31 – 32, Joseph’s brothers all agreed to tell their father the same lie The chief priests brought false witnesses against Jesus (Mat 26:59-

During the coming week, let us pray expectantly 1. seeking the Lord’s will to be done in Lebanon 2. for CrossTalk to find a locale 3. to become more of saints and less of sinners 4. to seek the Lord in every word I say, every act I do and every thought I think 5. to help in building His Kingdom by building His Church on earth 6. to thank Him for creating us and each one around us, on His image and likeness, and choosing us to reveal His splendor 7. to all the sick 8. to all those in prison 9. to the unity of the Christians 10. to one another to be honest and not lack integrity 11. to put all that we have in the Lord’s hands trusting His management 12. to all the Christians who are being persecuted, and to those who are persecuting them 13. to all families, that the Lord unites the parents together in His Name and stops all fights 14. to the situation in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Iraq and the whole region

الصالة الربّانيّة أبانا الّذي في السّماوات ليتقدَّسْ ﺇس ُمك ليأت ملكوتُك ل ْ تكن مشيئَتُك كما في السّماء كذلك على األرض أَعطنا خب َزنا كفافَ يومنا وا ْغفرْ لنا ذنوبَنا وخطايانا كما نحن نغفر لمن أَخطأ وأَسا َء ﺇلينا وال تُدخلنا في التّجارب ْ لكن نجِّنا من ال ّشرّير آمين
