GRADE LEVEL GOALS LITERACY! Sound - Spelling Patterns and Word Identification Oral Reading Fluency - speed and accuracy while reading Reading Comprehension - understand and correctly answer questions about stories/books; vocabulary Writing an organized, logical piece with details and support Using correct capitalization, punctation, spelling, and grammar when writing MATH ! Mastery and fluency of basic math facts Perform computations accurately Counting and Solving Problems using money up to $1 Telling Time to the nearest five minutes Solving Word Problems

Behavior Expectations 2nd grade adheres to the school behavior plan. Key concepts of this behavior plan include: * Control your body, words, and actions. * Be kind. * Listen and follow directions. * Do your best always. Students are rewarded or given consequences for their daily behaviors.

Homework Policy All homework assignments are recored by the student in their agenda. Binders and agendas must be checked nightly, signed, and returned the following day. Regular homework assignments include nightly reading, spelling work, and practicing math facts. Additional homework assignments and projects will be sent home by the classroom teacher.
