Hello! Dacia Kiddada

Every being is intended to be on earth for a certain purpose.” — Sa’di, 12th Century Persian poet Congratulations on taking this important first step in transforming your life by Defining and Restoring the Purpose, the reason, the message, for which your life was created. Restoring your Purpose is vital to living a more meaningful, fulfilled, influential, and conscious life. It has been said that if the purpose of something is not known, abuse is bound to happen. Your life was not created to be abused, neglected, or destroyed, but to thrive, meet your goals and manifest your vision, and to help and strengthen others to do the same. However, as life happens, and situations and circumstances occur, we often, without realization, bury those qualities and characteristics that we possess that would lead us into the actual purpose defined life for which we were sent to the Earth to fulfill. Not only is this detrimental to us personally, but we are doing a disservice to our families, friends, and those lives we are intended to impact to help our communities, our society, and our world. Therefore, follow these initial steps to get a clear direction on how to simply initiate change in your life, family, and work. Through your purpose, you will be inspiration to others and affect the world.

A Note from Dacia Kiddada: Thank you for deeming yourself and your business important enough to allow me to invest in you.

My goal in this booklet is to assist you in either creating your purpose if the thought is new to you, or helping you to restore your purpose if it has been neglected. I want to help you and others gain insight into the passion and promise in your life in order to confidently create or restore your position in life, femily, business and society. Your purpose exists to transform you, to strengthen you, and to help you empower others towards greatness. Professionaly, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies, have been a Middle School and High School Teacher in the Public School System, a Homeschool Administrator, and am a Certified Life Purpose Strategist. I am continuously gaining wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to help others, as well as myself, live our best lives and to be our best selves. Using my education, research, and lessons learned in life, I listen to people, create tools to unleash passions that determine purpose, and design programs specifically designed to allow one's purpose transform their lives. On a personal level, I am a wife and a mother (of 5, as a matter of fact). Most importantly to you at this time, I am a woman who has had first hand, front seat, experience in getting "lost" in life and forgetting that for which I was created to do and be. I have first hand experience of having to redefine my purpose and cultivate my own niche in society in the midst of personal growth, circumstances, and challenges. I understand that purpose is different for people: some discover it during childhood, some during early adulthood, and some may venture on one path of purpose and change to create new purposes at later phases of life. No matter your "what", "when" or "how", you were created ON purpose, FOR a purpose.

Remember, the purpose of this booklet is to give you some simple, tangible, beginning steps to help activate you towards making progress in defining, redefining, and creating your purpose-whether it is your first attempt at finding out your "why" and "how" or if you are at a stage in which you are rediscovering purpose again, this information is for you. I look forward to you gaining insight into yourself and what you can become. No matter your age, gender, demographics, or socioeconomic status, we all want to have purpose shine forth in our life, family, and work. After reading and completing this book, your personal Purpose Discovery book, I would love to engage upon a partnership with you into the deeper development, restoration, and execution of your new Purpose! Enjoy the journey! I am happy to go along with you!

1. Be Honest With Yourself

-

Be honest with yourself and realize that you have allowed your purpose to be hidden

What are you afraid of? Why are you holding yourself back? There is so much greatness inside of you-you know this, and I know this. And you are the key to someone's future. So let's explore why you are holding yourself back. What was the catalyst that caused you to neglect that gift that lies within you?

What have you always wanted to do? How will this help?

Often times, circumstances in life have a way of engulfing us into a whirlwind of situations, emotions, and outcomes that totally alter what we originally plan for our lives. When this happens, take a moment to reassess where you are and where you want to be. What happened? Was it marriage and family? Was it your entrance and growth in the workforce? Was it a traumatic event? Whatever your situation may be, the fact that you are in a position of unrest because you feel like there is more to your life to give and more you should be doing is an awakening indication that you have a Purpose to Restore and a Path and Journey that your Purpose must lead you on and people to lead you to. Now is the time to do some internal digging and uncover the you that has been left behind.

So Let's Begin:

2. Explore Your Passions

-

Explore what are you passionate about

How do you discover what you are passionate about? Find a moment of quiet and peace where you can be alone and reflect on nothing or no other person but yourself. With a pen and paper (no cell phone or laptop because you will get distracted), reflect on things you absolutely love. Passion is instrumental in defining your purpose, but it is not your purpose. Your passion leads to a defined purpose. Passion steers you into your Purpose. Activity doesn’t equal purpose. Often childhood hobbies and talents offer insight into our purpose, since childhood is a period in life of innocence, clarity, purity of mind, and fearlessness. Would you enjoy doing that activity now? Can you mold it into a vision that can fuel your life and help others?

Look back on your positive and cherished memories of childhood and make a list of the things that made you happy as a starting point to finding and restoring your purpose. Perhaps you have a unique way of making people laugh and feel good about life. Maybe you encourage people who may feel down or are in despair. Maybe your art portrays life in a way to its viewer that is fresh, engaging, and insightful. Whatever it is, this much is true: you do have a gift or a talent, and, whether you were born with the natural ability or it is a skill set that you learned and perfect over time, it is a gift, and one that is meant to be shared. Find it, explore it, and share it. If you are open with yourself, you know that there are several things that you do well. Take about 10 minutes, sit down quietly, and write a list of all the things that you know you do well. Your Challenge with this step is to figure out: why did you like to do the things on this list? How did these things make you feel?

3. Write a Vision Statement

-

Write a Vision Statement

This step is an essential one in helping to recreate your purpose. A vision statement is a written thought or idea of what you want to become, do, feel, think, own, associate with, and impact by some date in the future. Write a vision statement and make it plain so that you may execute it thoroughly without giving up. Make it personal and unique to you. Even if takes time for it to materialize (and it will), read it at any and every chance to constantly remind yourself of what you are destined to do and where your life is headed.

Create a personal vision statement that inspires you, motivates you and moves you to implement everything necessary to bring it to reality. Take a moment to reflect, and formulate a purpose that gives perspective on your life and how you can use your gifts, talents, and abilities and write one complete sentence that showcases your purpose and outlines your mission in life.

Before I Write My Vision Statement:

1. These are the things that motivate me and bring me joy and salvation: ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ 2. My greatest strengths and abilities that I do best are: ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ 3. At least two things I can start doing/and/or do more often that use my strengths and bring me joy are: ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________

My Personal Vision Statement (in 50 words or less) is:

________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________

4. Create a Vision Board

-

Create a Vision Board

You may be wondering “What is a Vision Board?”. A vision board is a practical method that is often used to make visible your hopes, dreams, goals, ambitions, and desires in order to work and take the steps necessary to make them become realities. This creative step is finding your purpose is instrumental ingiving you an actual pictorial map outlining the purpose that lies within you and the path, tools, and

applications you will use to make this purpose live and create a life for you and be of use to blessing others. You can use any sort of board (cardboard, construction board/paper, etc.) and pictures (magazine pictures, newspaper clippings, clip art, etc.), to help clarify and maintain focus on your goals. Create a collage of things that inspire you-poems, motivational quotes, pictures and articles centered around your aspirations. As you design your vision board, you will begin to see things that are missing, problems that need to be solved with a solution you have. Your purpose will begin to be realized.

Creating Your Vision Board 1. Handwrite onto a piece of paper what you want. Write what you want out of your career, love life, school, marriage, finances, etc. Write down what you think will make you happy. 2. Gather all of the materials and supplies that you will need to make your board. Scissors, glue, magazines with great pictures, personal pictures, printed quotes, poster board, and anything you would like to apply to your board to convey your message and/or decorate it. 3. Place the pictures on your board. Put the pictures on the board according to their importance to you. 4. Place your board in a place where you can see it daily. Look at the board for several minutes a day and visualize these things becoming a reality. Be grateful and work diligently towards making the vision board a reality

5. Determine Your Personality Traits

-

Determine Your Personality Traits

A key component to finding and understanding our purpose is knowing our unique and individual personality type. Knowing this information is not only intriguing, but it gives insight into yourself which can only be key in understanding not only what our purpose is, and what our gifts are, but also how internal and external conditions affect how we view and respond to the world around us. Being able to understand your personality type helps you gain clarity about your purpose.

There are numerous personality tests that are available free online, as well as those found at testing centers that charge a nominal fee. One such test is the Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI). The MBTI was created by psychologists and has been used and studied for decades. There are 16 MBTI Types, made up of 8 characteristics. In each segment, you are asked to decide between 2 characteristics. Take some time to read through the brief summaries of each personality trait description. As you begin to read, you will see parts of yourself and how you think in some of the summaries; when this happens, take note. At the end of reading the descriptions, you will be able to have a beginning idea of the type of personality you have, which will give you greater insight into the things you do and do not like, and the steps you may need to take or areas you may need to nurture or work on in order to achieve your goal of purpose recognition and fulfillment.

Simplified Summary of Personality Traits

INTROVERT vs. EXTROVERT: how we interact with the world and where we direct and receive energy. Extraverts are oriented to their outer world and their attention is focused mainly outside of self. They tend to seek other people, enjoy a lot of activity, and get their batteries charged by being with others. Introverts, on the other hand, are oriented to their inner world and their attention is mainly focused inward. They need a lot of alone time, tend to have a lot of mental activity, and seek to be alone in order to recharge. One common misperception is that extraverts are outgoing and talkative while introverts are shy and quiet. It can often be just the opposite. Whether you are an extrovert or introvert has more to do with where your focus and energy reside and less to do with how you act around others. SENSOR vs. INTUITIVE: the kind of information we naturally notice. Sensors seek concrete information. They are attentive to what is going on around them, they trust senses to give them accurate perception of their reality, and they tend to have a talent for remembering facts. Intuitives are more concerned with looking for meaning, exploring possibilities, and gleaning insights from beyond the senses. This “reading between the lines” is often seen as a 6th sense and referred to as intuition. They often speak in metaphors. One common misperception is that “intuitive” is referring to psychic ability, however it is simply referring to the tendency to see and understand information that is beyond the surface of their reality.

THINKER vs. FEELER: how we make decisions. Thinkers tend to value logic above all else. They are good at being objective and are often quite analytical. When making decisions, thinkers are very black and white. Feelers value being caring and doing what’s “right” over logic. They tend to be empathetic and make decisions based on how they feel and the feelings of others. There is a strong gender bias in America, pushing many men to lean toward being Thinkers while women lean toward being Feelers. Our TRUE SELVES, however, may not be on the side that our society’s roles have taught us to be. Be as honest with yourself as possible when determine which of these you are. This segment is also the most common that people claim to be “tied”, and many people cannot decide which they are. If you feel tied, ask yourself which you would LIKE to be. Also, you can read the descriptions of BOTH and see which resonates with you more. It’s okay to have 2 “types”. JUDGER vs. PERCEIVER: how we like to structure our lives. Judgers prefer a structured life and orderly environment. They prefer strongly to have things settled, decided, and resolved rather than leaving something up in the air. They want to know what to expect before they do something. Perceivers prefer to live spontaneously. They enjoy remaining flexible so they can stay open to possibilities. They are more likely to be okay leaving something openended or jumping in with little understanding of what to expect. One common misperception is that judgers are “neat and tidy” while perceivers are “messy”. This preference is not necessarily related strongly to the physical “structure” of one’s life, but rather about the degree of structure and order one prefers to feel most comfortable. Perceivers feel trapped when forced to decide, while judgers feel anxious when a decision cannot be made.
