A mathematically oriented postdoc is sought, with particularly strong background in probability, measure theory, and general mathematics. Specific research topics will gradually evolve depending on the progress and interests of all the parties concerned, but they will certainly be within the areas of probabilistic risk detection, assessment, and management. Co-supervised by Edward Furman (Risk and Insurance Studies Centre, and Department of Mathematics and Statistics, York University, Toronto, Canada) and Ricardas Zitikis (School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Western University, London, Canada). The position is subject to budgetary approval. Funding may vary from $36K to $60K for one year. If approved, the starting date is flexible and could be anytime in summer or autumn of 2019. Location is also flexible, and it could be Toronto and/or London (ON).
