Clever use of fieldbus technology: Multi-sensor transmitters of the 2600T series
The use of fieldbus technology considerably increases the range of information from your field instruments. In addition to the measured value, the status and alarm messages provide valuable information about plant status and reliability of the measured values. The transmitters of the 2600T series with their multi-sensor technology support the availability of this information in a unique way.

Intelligent technology – so easy to handle Multi-sensor transmitters 267JS / 269JS
The unique combination of several sensor systems in a single device permits simultaneous measurement of differential pressure, absolute pressure and, via an external sensor, process temperature. Additionally, the sensor temperature is measured and recorded for service and diagnosis purposes. The sensor temperature and the absolute pressure are also used for eliminating environmental effects on the sensor.
Maintenance and diagnosis information such as Value above/below range Measuring sensor overload Sensor out of temperature range is available.

Functional diagram of the measuring section/electronic section
The digital interface between the sensor and the electronics does not only provide for signal processing without additional errors. It also facilitates the replacement of the electronic section and makes the transmitter easily serviceable. All parameters and configuration data relevant for the measuring point are saved in the non-volatile memory of the sensor. After replacement of the electronics, automatic data transfer is carried out. The previous transmitter functionality is thus restored, without requiring further user actions. The new sensor technology provides for extremely short response times and, thus, allows a quick reaction on process changes. Despite serial signal processing, this feature is achieved by using several A/D converters.

Take advantage of our experience Our experience and know-how in the field of pressure transmitter development, construction and production were a good basis for our 2600T. This transmitter has a very good long-time stability and will make a good job over years without requiring any maintenance. Firm as a rock Considerably reduced environmental and process effects due to multi-sensor technology. The result: reliable and safe measurement. Early detected, immediately eliminated Permanent self-monitoring functions allow for an early diagnosis. A write protect switch prevents unauthorized access to the device. So easy to handle Keys and switches on the device and a digital display allow for easy parameter setting and configuration on site. There is no need to open the device in the field. This prevents the ingress of moisture or aggressive substances into the device and ensures reliable functionality over a long time. The measured value is indicated in both an analog and digital manner on the LCD. Which of the available measured values – differential pressure, pressure or temperature – is indicated can be defined by configuration. Good visibility even under bad light conditions is ensured by the background illumination function of the display.
Mass flow measurement Multi-variable transmitter 267CS / 269CS
ONE transmitter – THREE measured values: Differential pressure adjustable measuring ranges, 0.5 mbar … 20 bar Absolute pressure adjustable measuring ranges, 6 bar…410 bar Temperature measuring range –50 °C … +650 °C
Optional output signals: 4…20 mA/HART PROFIBUS PA FOUNDATION Fieldbus Modbus Selectable accuracy: 0.075 % 0.04 %
Mass flow measurement Connecting an external temperature sensor allows for measuring the process temperature in addition to the pressure variables. As a result, the transmitter is capable of measuring gases, vapors and liquids using the differential pressure method. The operating density of the fluid is calculated as a function of pressure and temperature, and from this results the mass flow. Mass and standard volume flow in accordance with AGA 3 or DIN EN ISO 5167.

The pressure and temperature dependent values for vapors, liquids and gases are calculated using tables saved in the device.
Highest accuracy is achieved through: Dynamic flow correction with continuous calculation of Reynold’s number and flow coefficient Correction of material-dependent thermal size changes Linearization of the primaries Flow correction is also possible without temperature measurement with fixed temperature. Mass flow measurement even more efficient, due to the variety of supported primaries: Orifice, corner, D- and D/2 taps Orifice, flange taps Small bore orifices (flange/corner taps) ISA-1932 nozzle Long radius nozzle Classic Venturi meter Venturi nozzle Pitot tube V-cone Wedge element Integral orifice Pure density correction (without considering the primary)
Communication using the Device Management Software
The Device Management Software DSV401 (SMART VISION) allows for data communication with the field instruments. It supports the PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, HART and Modbus communication standards. DSV401 is used for parameter display, configuration, diagnosis, support of service and maintenance tasks, data management and documentation.
Calibration/Adjustment by mouse-click Adjustment of the lower range value and span with and without application of pressure.
Measured value display Digital display of the process pressure as a percentage and in physical units as colored bargraph as trend data display in four sections, with adjustable time ranges Verification and plausibility checking of the measuring point are supported in an optimal manner through the possibility to simulate all input values.
