Abstract : A motion picture is a so heterogeneous piece of art that it can make the audience smile and cry at the same time. The director can easily affect the viewers through his mixing of dramaturgy with comedy, until making their reactions vary according to the treated issue of his movie. Regardless of the genre of a motion picture, we can sometimes find an illustration of a funeral. In the case of a pure fiction, the director shows us the death of a beloved or hated character, whereas in a historical movie, we can find a biography of a lost personage and the representation of her/his death, in order to pay her/him a tribute.

The reading of this Quran verse is the spontaneous reaction of Muslim while hearing about the death of a person, near to the heart. It may be read silently, by crying, with falling tears and so on, depending on the psychological state of the receiver. Then the funeral takes place, having the sadness as common feeling and varying from a Tunisian region to another. In our communication, we will dissect the funeral rituals, illustrated in many Tunisian fiction films, and analyse their distinction from a region to another, being also dependent on the view angle of every director
