All Access Community Organizer Consultant Description (Full-Time & Part-Time, Contract) Background New Voices Pittsburgh/New Voices for Reproductive Justice – collectively called New Voices – is the premier Reproductive Justice and Human Rights organization in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The mission of New Voices is to build a social change movement dedicated to the health and wellbeing of Black women and girls through leadership development, Human Rights and Reproductive Justice. For the last 12 years, New Voices has served 50,000+ Black women and girls women of color and LGBTQ+ people of color through leadership development, community organizing, policy advocacy and culture change. We define Reproductive Justice as the Human Right of all women/people to control all decisions about our bodies, sexuality, gender, work and reproduction. During this time of our organizational development, New Voices is committed to amplifying the voices of Black women and girls as leaders, advocates and organizers for Human Rights, advancing a new paradigm that prioritizes the complete health and well-being of Black women and girls and building a bigger and bolder movement for Reproductive Justice in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania and Ohio. Description The All Access Organizer consultant positions are for mid-level, passionate, self-starter professionals experienced in community organizing, event planning, leadership development, policy advocacy and public relations. The All Access Organizer is vital to the New Voices team as we support the national All Access effort in our three cities – Cleveland, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh – on Saturday, September 10. The All Access Organizer provides a key role in connecting New Voices to our constituencies of Black women and girls, women of color and allies to New Voices and the Reproductive Justice movement. A critical component to this position is the ability to work under pressure, aggressively meet deadlines and lead intensive engagement of our networks. The All Access Organizers are a powerful catalyst for the long-term activism, base-building, growth, leadership development and sustainability of New Voices. The successful applicants will have a background in social justice, women’s rights and/or Reproductive Health, Rights and Justice, will be expected to demonstrate proficient verbal and writing skills as well as competency with community outreach, event logistics, problem-solving, social media, data management, social media and volunteer management. The All Access Organizers will work in a positive environment and learn from a wide array of experiences with the New Voices Staff, Board of Directors and Advisory Council. The All Access Organizers will represent the interests of New Voices and our constituents through prioritizing mobilization of Black women and girls, relationship-building with Black-led and people of color led organizations and providing a dynamic All Access experience in all our cities. Principal Areas of Responsibility Under the supervision of the New Voices All Access Team, the All Access Organizers will: □ Work with the New Voices All Access Team to organize events focused on Black women and women of color in Cleveland (the main event), Philadelphia (the satellite event) and Pittsburgh (one of 30+ cities hosting events); □ Lead all logistics with the approval and support of the New Voices All Access Team including securing the venue, catering, entertainment, audio/visual, décor, social and traditional media, day of the event management including set-up and breakdown, photography and videography, security and volunteers; □ Promote the All Access event to the New Voices network, Black women and women of color, Reproductive Justice stakeholders, grassroots and grasstop leaders and the general public through various mediums including personal outreach, phone bank, email, mail, community event, postering, flyering, social media and traditional media; □ Serve as the primary point of contact for the event in your city with the support of the New Voices All Access Team, for Cleveland and Philadelphia, working directly and closely 2

with the Planning Committee and for all the organizers, facilitating timely and up-todate information for communicating with the national All Access organizers; Adhere to event budget with approval and support of the New Voices All Access Team; Collect and manage data collected from those interested in New Voices, manage guest lists to the New Voices All Access events and guest lists for the main events; Provide on the ground logistics for New Voices leadership as well as VIP guests; Recruit, train and coordinate volunteers for New Voices All Access events; and Submit final report including budget to the New Voices All Access Team.

Required Skills and Qualifications □ Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision and values of New Voices □ Affirm principles of Reproductive Justice and Human Rights for Black women and girls □ An Associate’s degree in Africana Studies, Community Organizing and Advocacy, Cultural Studies, Environmental Studies, Gender Studies, Health Sciences, Latinx Studies, NonProfit Administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Queer Studies, Social Work, Urban Studies and/or Women's Studies OR an equivalent combination of education and 1-2 years of professional experience in community organizing, event planning, leadership development, policy advocacy and/or public relations □ Ability to work with a diverse continuum of Black women and girls and people of color including but not limited to ability, age, culture, education, familial status, gender, gender identity, gender expression, immigration status, incarceration status, race, sex, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status □ Experience in or desire to learn Community Organizing, Activism, Reproductive Justice, Voter Engagement, Public Policy Advocacy, Human Rights, Leadership Development, Black Women's Health and Social Justice □ Experience in working in non-profit, community-based and/or advocacy organizations □ Desire to create social, economic and political opportunities for Black women and girls, women of color and indigenous women □ Possession or desire to gain excellent oral and written communications □ Demonstrate discipline and motivation in completing designated projects, exhibit ability to work independently and excellent time management skills □ Be reliable and able to work independently, organized and able to multitask □ Exhibit self-motivation, creativity, resourcefulness, conscientiousness and flexibility – must be able to work evenings and weekends □ Personal qualities include passion, enthusiasm, motivation, commitment, integrity, humor, optimism, positivity and ability to inspire others to engage with New Voices Compensation Starting hourly wage is commensurate with experience. New Voices pays a living wage for our employment opportunities. The full-time consultant position is based in Cleveland, OH and the part-time consultant positions are based in Philadelphia, PA and Pittsburgh, PA. These are fulltime (40+ hours a week) and part-time (25-30 hours a week), contract position for four (4) weeks. 3

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this consultant position, the All Access Organizers are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear. This consultant position requires extensive computer use. The All Access Organizers must occasionally lift/move up to fifty (50) pounds.
