1. Students sign up with their student ID number and pay a pre-determined fee (i.e. $5.00) to enter the program.
1. Students use their ID cards to check out containers at the front of the cafeteria.
1. Students sign up for the program and receive a card with a barcode, which is linked to their information in a database, similar to a supermarket savings card.
2. This information is captured by the Business Office in a spreadsheet so the fee can be applied to the student’s account. 3. Once the student is registered for the program, she will receive an Eco-Takeouts® for use or a token which can be exchanged for an Eco-Takeouts® for later use. 4. When the student returns the used container, she will receive a new container or an exchange token. 5. Upon return the student places the container on the dishwasher conveyor for sanitizing and reuse.

If the student does not return the container within a set loan period (i.e. 24 or 48 hours), an email reminder is sent to the student. 4.
