Your bodyguard for extra safety in long-distance transport Many dangers lie in wait on roads, motorways, service stations and car parks: vehicle tracking makes sure you always know where your new Actros is at any given moment – even thousands of kilometres away. If anything untoward happens such as extended downtime or the truck leaves its designated route, you can organise on-site assistance quickly in case of an emergency. In short: you are always near to the events in long-distance transport. Ensuring that the truck and driver always get to their destination safely and quickly. 1 Vehicle tracking. Small box, huge peace of mind: Mercedes-Benz vehicle tracking uses an integrated GPS receiver to transmit via satellite the precise location of your new Actros at freely selectable intervals. In an emergency you can therefore respond quickly with cutting-edge technology: if your vehicle has been stolen you should immediately contact your alarm centre. The alarm centre network can be contacted in 36 European countries round the clock. Each centre liaises directly with national police forces to rapidly trace and locate the vehicle. Drivers can benefit from Europe-wide roaming thanks to the SIM card reader with monthly contract. The vehicle tracking software and internet application are included in the specification.
