Abstract This is an addendum to the paper by Tricoire et al. on various orienteering problems [1]. We present experimental results on the orienteering problem with time windows (OPTW) and team orienteering problem with time windows (TOPTW) test instances introduced by Montemanni et al. [2].

Introduction The instances by Montemanni et al. [2] are separated into four classes, based on the number of vehicles available (1, 2, 3 or 4). For each instance we run the variable neighborhood search (VNS) presented in our previous paper [1] 10 times. We present for each instance the minimal, average and maximal profit found, as well as the average CPU time needed to reach a termination criterion. For the sake of clarity, we separate the experiment tables following the classes based on the number of vehicles. Our results are compared with those presented in [2] (Ant Colony System, ACS). For each instance, the best average value is boldfaced and the best value overall is in italics. Average CPU time needed to reach a termination criterion is also provided for each method (in seconds).
