First Sunday of Advent
Do you need a break during the days of December? Do you have a few moments for fellowship and devotion? Consider joining us for all three or one of these Advent Breathers. We meet around a table to break bread and share a bowl of soup and then we offer a time for music, prayer, scripture and reflection. It takes just 60 minutes and changes the way we approach the season of Advent.
December 3 at 8, 9:30 & 11 am Reception of new members at 9:30 am worship.
On December 13 we will be joined by the veterans and volunteers from Project Healing Waters
Second Sunday of Advent December 10 at 8, 9:30 & 11 am Sunday School Christmas Program at 9:30 am worship.
Blue Christmas Service Sunday, December 10 at 7:30 pm A reflective service to ease lament and provide hope.
Third Sunday of Advent December 17 at 8, 9:30 & 11 am Around the Cross Concert - Magnificat by Antonio Vivaldi during 9:30 & 11 am worship.
Fourth Sunday of Advent December 24 - 10 am ONLY One service on Sunday morning. NOT a Christmas Eve service. Worship will be held in the fellowship area
Christmas Cookie Walk Saturday, December 9 8:30 am - 10:30 am
Join us at our 9th annual Cookie Walk for cookies, candies, bars, dog treats, coffee and hot chocolate at only $8.50 per pound! Enter to win a raffle basket and a magnificent traditional Gingerbread House! All proceeds benefit our mission work in the Two Strike Community on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in SD.
Come Decorate the Sanctuary for Christmas! Wednesday, December 13 6 pm to 7:30 pm - Heavy lifters/Move decor from storage Thursday, December 14 & Friday, December 15 10 am to 5 pm— 2-3 volunteers to assemble trees, test lights etc. Sunday, December 17 Following 11 am worship - 5-6 heavy lifters needed 2 pm Many volunteers needed to decorate trees, gathering space, sanctuary. Monday, December 18 10 am to 5 pm. The final touches. If you are willing to help decorate but the times listed above don’t work with your calendar, please contact the church office.
