After Schools Activities Programme
Objective To create a fun and informative certification programme providing a clear development pathway for our Junior Golfers. A programme with measured performance and understanding throughout, where good practice and performance is rewarded.
Goals • Create a programme that assures of understanding, measures performance and rewards creativity whilst maintaining continual feedback • Provide a engaging and interactive learning experience with highly trained golf professionals. • Parent Feedback - “Report Cards” - Parents are able to see clear results and communicate with the School Of Golf Professionals • Measured Practice - Stamp System • Homework- Journals will be used throughout the course to record progress and allow students to keep notes of subjects discussed in sessions. Choice or “Homework tasks” inspiring creativity and developing overall golfing skills.
Solution The Junior School Of Golf will deliver a fun, measured and trackable program which actively rewards good practice and performance through additional golfing incentives. By seeing the juniors once a week for multiple weeks combined with good practice, we have the chance to educate, demonstrate, train, and provide feedback on a weekly basis. When juniors see improvement, they fall in love with the game! The
JSG provides a framework so juniors and their families can track improvement and make getting better at golf an experience they will never forget.
Curriculum Outline
Using a the modern School Curriculum, the School of Golf will cover a series of “Subjects” during the golf lessons. Our School of Golf team will create outdoor “classrooms”, with clear objectives for our Junior Golfers to achieve throughout the sessions.

Geography - Playing the course and knowledge of course management. Understanding how to play and what clubs to use is vital to improving our students performance.
Physical Education - FMS/ Physical Literacy in association with OP Integrated Lifestyle. We will look at creating not only great golfers, but children who can move more effectively and freely in the real world. We will help create better athletes and a healthier lifestyle.
Art - Creativity Golf is far more than “hit it, find it!” Art is a free period allowing our juniors to discover the swing and create games based around the game.
Biology - Body Movement/Full Swing Greater a greater awareness of the bodies movements through the swing, encourages repetition and consistency in performance. We will engage and create understanding of where to be and what to do to see results.
Physics- Impact Ball Flight Understanding cause and effect; how to effect the way we hit the ball and why we making changes at address can affect impact.
Maths - Scoring and Statistics Golf is not always about how, but how many. Our students will be shown how to score and keep statistics of their performance, preparing them for the golf course and helping to create better performance analysis.
Design Technology - Equipment Knowledge In the ever changing world of golf, a greater understanding of what tools the junior will be using and how they effect the golf shots creates confidence in knowledge.
Languages - Rules and Etiquette The R&A and USGA, golfs governing bodies, are an integral part of the golfing curriculum.
