• Awesome room, although a bit on the noisy side (visibility during tea and breakfast is important) • Lots of wall space was GREAT! • The set up of the room was welcoming • No description in conference app or program, so people didn’t know what to expect. Include previous photos in the program • Have lots of posters on the walls giving instructions on how the Jam works (people are shy to ask) • Shared room with the lightning talks was not ideal – we missed out on a lot of possible conversations • Set up the room the day before, or early in the morning so you are ready for the early birds
• Speakers to mention they are doing the “Jam” and encourage other speakers to come past after their talk to continue the discussion • Facilitate vs Train is HARD! • Agile Manifesto Values and Principles on the wall will help • Writing topics on the flipchart encouraged people to sit down and be a part of the conversation • Good stationary is essential! • Great to have other Open Jammers in the conversation – lead to good cross pollination of topics • Everyone taking photos made a huge difference • Make the #hashtag more visible
