Air borne Infection insulator ABB present a new technique for insolation of air borne virus

ABB has developed a system in order to eliminate and stop spread of air borne virus infections from virus infected patients. The product is primarily made for installation in hospitals and nursing homes. The system is built up of total tight pressure controlled and ventilated cells. Both supply air and exhaust air are filtrated by Hepa filter. The system is built up of modular element and are very fast installed in both existing and new buildings. It is also possible to install the system in containers for fast access to the area where the need is.

Thanks to the advanced control and supervision system both pressure and temperature can be controlled in a safe way. In the exhaust duct Hepa filters are Installed so no contamination can leave the insulator. In and out passage from the isolator is via an air lock where a micro-processor secure a safe in and out passage of personal from the insulator. The isolators are built with modular technic and in material which is very easy to clean and has high chemical resistance also for sterilising gases as Hydrogen peroxide The total isolator is built as a hermetic closed cell which secure that no contamination can leakage to the surrounding.

The sanitary system is specially designed in order to make it easy to keep clean. Also to desinfect the room between the different patients. No equippment is mounted on the floor which helps cleaning the floor. Most pipes is integrated inside or behind the walls. All penetration to the room are carefully sealed in order to ashive an absolute air tight isolator.

The Insulator envelope is constructed by sandwich panels vita surface made of HPL (high pressure laminate). This gives an opportunity to design the insulator with a large range of colour combination and surface structures. The HPL material have also big resistance against both erosion and chemicals. The bottom of the wall is equipped with a floor track which allow for a coving to be done between floor and wall. The floor track also allow for deflection on the floor to be eliminated. In the air lock the ABB FLEXICEIL ceiling grid is installed. This because the need of access to the mechanical systems installed over the air lock ceiling. The FLEXICEIL ceiling also give high flexibility and make it easy to integrate supply and exhaust diffuser, light fittings etc.

The in and out passage from the Isolator is secured by help of the special developed interlock system ILock. The system eliminate in normal drift two doors to be open at the same time. It also start forced ventilation all time the door between the air lock and the patient room has been opened. The door system is also equipped with a special control button to be used during in transport of the bed. There is also an emergency button on both side of all doors. The Interlock system is also connected to the fire alarm and open all doors in case of fire alarm. The door locking system is a magnet locking device in order to get a high security function.
