All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is an autonomous body established under an Act of Parliament.

2.

Service under the AIIMS is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.

3.

All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Delhi/New Delhi.

4 (i)

Out of 10 posts of Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology (Main), 01 post is reserved for PWBD under the category of OBC.

(ii)

Out of 04 posts of Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology (Dr. BRAIRCH), 01 post is reserved for PWBD under the Category of ST.

(iii)

Out of 13 posts of Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, 01 post is reserved for PWBD under the category of UR.

(iv)

Out of 02 posts of Assistant Professor of Cardiology, 01 post is reserved for PWBD under the category of UR.

(v)

Upper Age Limit:

(i)

50 (Fifty) years.

(ii)

Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of submission of applications.

(iii)

No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.

The employees of the AIIMS will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.

4% reservation for PWBD has been provided.

14.

Application Fee- Rs. 500/- for UR and OBC, Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates. No Application Fee is applicable for PWBD candidate. Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Candidates applying under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will be considered subject to submission of Caste/Disability Certificate issued by the appropriate/competent authority on the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the certificate. OBC candidate’s eligibility will be based on the caste(s) borne in the Central List of Government of India. OBC candidate(s) should not belong to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should match with the entries in Central List of OBC, failing which their candidature will not be considered under any of the applied category post(s). The candidature of PWBD applicant is subject to evaluation by the Medical Board duly constituted by the Director, AIIMS, New Delhi.

Only such persons would be eligible for reservation under PWBD quota in service/posts as per provision of Disability Act. Persons who want to avail of benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.

The aspiring candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect should submit their application through ON-LINE mode only and must read the instructions, help manual and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein while making online submission of the applications. All the original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview. The short-listed candidate(s) based on their submission, must bring one print out of on-line application and all original certificates viz. While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty appointed at the AIIMS subject to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus, it may not be possible to provide accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) as admissible to the Central Government Servants of similar status stationed at Delhi/New Delhi will be provided as per rules.

The candidates should possess experience in teaching organizing course in Electron Microscope and carrying out independent research in Ultrastructural studies. A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).
