Abstract: The measurement of air quality was done within Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) campus, Nigeria, to document current levels of air pollutants and also ascertain the degree of alteration of fresh air on campus, which may to some extent, interfere with the comfortable work and learning activities. The environmental air quality covered measurement of the following parameters within the University Campus: Sulphur oxides (SO x), Nitrogen dioxide (NO2), Ammonia (NH3), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Methane (CH4), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Respirable Particulate Matter (PM10, PM7, PM2.5, PM1) and Total Suspended Particulates (TSP). Standard protocols were used for measurement e.g. portable digital monitors for air pollutants; geographical positioning system (GPS) for geo-referencing the sampling locations and a sound level meter for noise measurement.
