Program What is Fly Fishing An introduction to the what, why, where, when and how of fishing with a fly Basic Equipment A discussion on what equipment you need to get started including some hands on examples

Equipment Required Bring your own: Fly rod, reel, line and leader or if you don’t have them, we will have a limited amount of equipment to use.

Basic Skills Instruction in fundamental fly-fishing techniques including: Assembling your equipment Basic fly fishing knots Finding fish Choice of flies Presenting the fly to the fish Hooking, playing and landing fish Fly Casting Hands-on instruction in casting fundamentals Fishing Practice On water practice of what you have learned with club members Rain Out Day – June 2rd for May 26th
