REQUIREMENTS • To design a definitive LED high-bay luminaire. • The challenge is to cool the powerful LEDs enough to ensure effective and reliable operation over a long lifetime.

FINE-TUNING THE DESIGN • Adjustments made to the design in collaboration with thermal and electronic engineers. • Mock-up of initial design prepared.

INITIAL IDEAS • The designers are intrigued by the idea of molecule formations and honeycombs. • The luminaire shape goes through several changes.
