II. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE Under the direct supervision of the IOM Head of Office in Argentina, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of a twoyear EU funded project for the strengthening of the Syria Program in Argentina.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Coordinate the overall implementation of two-year EU funded project in a timely manner, being responsible for their financial, administrative and technical oversight in line with policies and practices of IOM and donor requirements. 2. Coordinate resource deployment, activation, implementation, reporting and evaluation of the project. 3. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the IOM project team in Buenos Aires. 4. Coordinate and maintain strong partnerships with government entities, donors, implementing partners, civil society actors, UN agencies and other stakeholders. 5. Promote dialogue, information sharing and cooperation among government and nongovernmental actors. 6. Provide regular updates on the implementation of the project to the Regional Office. Be responsible for the overall review and elaboration of interim and final project narrative reports to be submitted to the donor. 7. Provide regular information to the Head of Office on the overall progress of the project and work to build linkages and synergies with other IOM and UNHCR projects. 8. Participate in relevant seminars and meetings related to the project. 9. Explore potential entry points for expanded collaboration with relevant authorities and partners on project-related activities. 10. Coordinate the elaboration of reports prepared for the Steering Committee of the project. 11. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

IV. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE EDUCATION • University degree in Law, Political or Social Sciences, International Affairs or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or • School diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience. EXPERIENCE • Substantial experience working as a project manager. • Experience in the implementation of projects funded by the European Union (exclusive). • Strong knowledge about the legal framework and policies related to migrants and refugees in Argentina and worldwide. • Prior experience working in social projects, as the strengthening of the social inclusion and promotion of rights of migrants and refugees. • Experience with working with governmental and non-governmental institutions.
