In addition to the Apis and Carat motorglider, AMS-FLIGHT produces also gliders and motorgliders of DG family. The Directors of AMS-FLIGHT, once employees of Elan, purchased the Elan flight division to form the basis of AMS-FLIGHT. All Apis gliders are designed to, and the structural parts have been tested to, the internationally accepted JAR 22 regulations. All construction materials are the industry standard and are fully certified. Powerful roll authority is provided by the full span flaperons. The rudder pressures are light yet the rudder is very powerful. The yaw string is easily centered. The lightweight yet powerful controls add up a soaring experience you will truly enjoy. For cross-country soaring, these features put you in the center of the strong lift so you climb rapidly. In cruise, the flaperons are set to the negative position and you quickly see that this glider runs as well as it climbs. In the self-launch mode, the climb rate is a remarkable 3,8 m/s.
