APPLICATION PROCEDURE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES Applications are invited from all qualified candidates for admissions into Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor programmes in the respective Faculties, Schools or Institutes as detailed in the supplement. Programmes listed are for September/October 2015 admission.

POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMMES Applications are invited from all qualified candidates for admissions into Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and Ph.D. programmes in the respective Faculties, Schools or Institutes as detailed in the supplement. Programmes listed are for the September/October 2015 admission.

Application forms can be obtained from the Admissions Office Reception Room 116, located at the Main Campus of the University, Administration block, first floor. Forms can also be obtained from any of the University ExtraMural Centers in Garissa, Kakamega, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nakuru, and Nyeri, or in the University's Mombasa Campus and Kisumu Campus upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of Kshs 3,000. The application fee may be paid by Direct Deposit into the UNES/UON Account, Barclays Bank, Westlands Branch, A/C No. 03-073-1023948. CASH,CHEQUES AND POSTAL ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Application forms can also be downloaded from the University of Nairobi website: www.uonbi.ac.ke (“Admissions”), with evidence of payment of the application fee furnished at the time of application submission.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS: Applicants for Masters Degree programs should have a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours degree in the relevant discipline from recognized institutions. Persons with Lower Second Class Honours Degree with two years relevant post qualification experience. Persons with pass degree and a Postgraduate Diploma or with at least five years relevant post qualification experience will be considered. Applicants for Postgraduate Diploma Programmes should have a minimum pass degree. Masters Degree Programmes are offered via Coursework, Examination and either Project paper or Thesis on a part time/evening basis. Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) programmes are offered in all disciplines. The completed application forms and deposit slips of application fees must be returned by April 30 th 2015(unless otherwise noted) to: The Academic Registrar (Admissions Reception), Main Campus, Administration Block, 1 st Floor Room A116 (in person) OR any UoN Extra Mural Center OR The Academic Registrar (Admissions office), University of Nairobi, Box 30197-00100, Nairobi (via mail or courier). Candidates who have successfully bridged in various subjects in the University of Nairobi will be eligible for admission into the relevant degree programmes and the candidates must have obtained at least a mean grade of C+ and a C- in the subject they want to bridge. Candidates who have successfully pursued certificate courses at the University of Nairobi will be eligible for admissions into relevant diploma programmes and candidates who have successfully pursued diploma courses will be eligible for admissions into relevant degree programmes. STUDY CENTRE: Applicants must indicate in their application forms the University of Nairobi study centre/campus they would like to take their course, if course is offered in more than one Centre/Campus. MODE OF STUDY: Applicants must indicate their preferred mode of study. A key of the available modes of study is listed below;
