It is proposed to appoint one “PROJECT SCIENTIST” purely on short term contract basis for “National Monsoon Mission”. Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./MSc. (Tech)/ M.Tech.in Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology / Physics/ Geophysics/ Mathematics/ Oceanography / B.E (Mechanical) /B.Tech. (Mechanical) from a recognized university/ Institute. Desirable Qualification: About 2 years experience in modeling and simulation preferably Atmospheric/ Ocean Models. Age Limit: - upto 30 years as on 15.11.2013. Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India has launched 'National Monsoon Mission' (NMM) with a vision to develop a state-of-the-art dynamical prediction system for monsoon rainfall on different time scales. MoES has bestowed the responsibility of execution and coordination of this mission to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. It is proposed to appoint one “Project Scientist” purely on short term contract basis for National Monsoon Mission”. Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./ MSc. (Tech)/ M.Tech. in Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology / Physics/ Geophysics/ Mathematics/ Oceanography, B.E (Mechanical) /B.Tech. (Mechanical) from the recognized university/ Institute.
