STROLLERS & PETS We’ve decided to allow dogs/ baby strollers on a trial basis this year for walkers (we’ll see how it goes, and decide what we’ll do for future years). We ask that all participants with a dog or stroller start at the back of the pack and ask that they not mix with the non-pet-carrying runners.

Solstice run A midnight run across the Leelanau Peninsula for education in Ethiopia The Solstice Run is a collaboration between On The Ground and Endurance Evolution, to raise money and build awareness for education in Ethiopia. The run will begin at sunset on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 in beautiful Leelanau County. It will continue south through the night, approximately 40 miles, ending at sunrise over the breathtaking Lake Michigan in Traverse City. The funds raised will be used to complete the construction of a library in Hase Gola, Ethiopia. Funds will also supply age-appropriate literacy materials for learning to read and health-related educational materials such as information on AIDS and typhoid. The Hase Gola Library will also offer a meeting and centralized space for community issues.
