ATTENTION STUDENTS AND PARENTS FACTS and the Marshall Suzuki Program have teamed up to offer
AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC THEORY AND SUZUKI VIOLIN CLASSES (To all students K-5 interested in music theory and/or violin) Students must be enrolled in the FACTS program to participate. The FACTS registration fee is $30.00 for the year. Rates are as follows: $3.50 / hour (or portion of each hour) for one child $5.75 / hour for two children $8.00 / hour for three children. This is a wonderful opportunity for all students interested in furthering their knowledge of music. Whether your child plays violin through the Marshall Suzuki Program or studies another instrument like piano, guitar, or voice with a private teacher, the music theory portion of the class will provide each participant with all of the fundamental skills they need in order to read and fully understand music. Through the use of the internationally acclaimed Music Mind Games (MMG) method, developed by Michiko Yurko, students will learn to understand music through the use of games and innovative materials presented by a teacher who has studied personally with Ms. Yurko. In addition to a thirty-minute music theory class, your child will also have the option to study violin with a highly experienced Suzuki teacher. Classes are offered on Mondays for grades 2-5 from 3:45-5:00 PM and Fridays for grades K-1 from 1:00-2:15 PM. If your student is interested in music lessons, please fill out the following form and return it to the FACTS program. Your child may then begin the class immediately!
