CAST OF CHARACTERS: All in their mid 20’ s (character age is not necessarily that of the actor) Note: All vocal ranges are below Low C and above Middle C Frankie - (Second Tenor – Lyric Baritone, B – G#) The leader and caretaker of the group. Confident and compassionate, yet humble and sincere. The romantic crooner. Has asthma that tends to act up on the energetic numbers. Audition song: Heart and Soul Sparky – (Baritone, A –F#) The class clown. Energetic and clever, with moments of heartfelt tenderness. Loves to tell stories and loves to sing his solos. Has a slight speech impediment or lisp. Audition song: Catch a Falling Star Jinx – (First Tenor, B-B) The shy one. Never sure of the next song or the next move. Terrified and timid, but eventually finds his confidence. Occasionally gets nose bleeds when he sings too high. Audition song: Cry Smudge – (Bass, F – G#) The chronic worrier. Nervous and Reluctant, which gives way to confidence and musical prowess. Hides his good looks and sex appeal behind big glasses. Has a nervous stomach. Note: All those auditioning should be prepared to sight read, sing harmony, and participate in a brief dance/movement audition.
Audition material will be available (after Feb 1) at Avon Players Box Office during regular box office hours. Mon-Fri 11am-2pm and Tues/Thurs 6pm-8pm
