Automotive Technology Training

At Columbia College, Automotive Technology staff are ASE certified, State of California teacher credentialed, and licensed instructors by the state’s Bureau of Automotive Repair. Staff also have real world experience in the industry. Our comprehensive Auto Technology curriculum is in compliance with the high standards of the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). Students are trained in basic servicing and repair techniques, including automatic transmission repair, clutch and standard transmission repair, drive lines and rear axle repair, fundamentals of automotive electricity, smog control, principles of air conditioning, fuel and ignition systems, suspension and front end alignment, and engine repair.
