INTRODUCTION The Oscars of Asia Pacific’s eldercare industry is now calling for submission! The first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, the Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards was created to provide an annual recognition to organisations in the Asia Pacific that demonstrate eldercare innovation in their business, operational and service models to change the way our older adults age. Bringing together top industry leaders and professionals for the fourth time, the Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards Dinner Ceremony will be held on 27 April 2016 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre to celebrate and applaud efforts that deliver dignity, health and happiness to the region’s older adults. 7TH AGEING ASIA INNOVATION FORUM 2016 The annual Ageing Asia Innovation Forum (AAIF) is an international platform held annually in Singapore that connects CEO level business, government and community leaders to invest and collaborate on business opportunities in Real Estate, Healthcare, Wellness, Finance, Technology and Senior Care. AAIF aims to showcase the world’s most innovative models of care that will improve quality of living and happiness of older adults in Asia Pacific, focusing on Healthy Ageing, Independent Ageing and Dignified Ageing. The 2016 theme of ‘Integrated Care and Ageing Friendly* Communities’ was chosen to reflect the changing needs of ageing baby boomers who desire to age-in-place, with relevant housing, health and communities services that can evolve to suit their changing requirements as they age. DR AUDREY WEINER PRESIDENT AND CEO JEWISH HOME LIFECARE, USA
Audrey S. Weiner, DSW, MPH is President and CEO of the Jewish Home Lifecare in New York, which serves 12,000 elders each year through its postacute rehabilitation, long term skilled nursing, senior housing, certified home health agency, adult day health care and care management services. She received her doctorate in Social Welfare Administration from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and her Masters in Public Health from Yale University. She is the founding editor of the Journal of Social Work in Long-Term Care. She edited the first text on culture change in long-term care with Judah Ronch, PhD, and in 2013 edited Culture Change in Elder Care and Models and Pathways for Person-Centered Elder Care, both published by Health Professionals Press and edited with Judah Ronch. She is a board member and immediate past chairperson of LeadingAge, past chairperson and member of board of the Continuing Care Leadership Coalition, the New York area non-profit long term care provider association, and a member of the Board of Greater New York Hospital Association. She previously chaired the LeadingAge Ethics Commission and Talent Cabinet.
