Battery Series Category Battery Series Composition ●
Submit an original composition set for battery percussion ensemble.

Piece will be composed for between three and five parts. Instrumentation is limited to some combination of snares, tenors, basses, cymbals, and toms.

Piece must be one to two minutes in length. Submissions will be judged by a panel of adjudicators from the Southern California percussion community. All submissions will be adjudicated anonymously.
Scholarship Awards ●
The recipient of the scholarship will receive a $750.00 investment in their future.

○ The money could be applied toward college tuition, drum corps dues, workshops or classes, equipment needs, or other proposals. Let us know what you plan to pursue, and we’ll help offset some of the expense of pursuing your dream. The recipient will also receive a music production package featuring hardware and/or software to help the recipient further their efforts in music composition and the arts. The winning composition will be debuted by a special guest ensemble at the 2018 Arcadia Music & Arts Symposium.

The scholarship is available to current SCPA performers who are high school graduates or current high school seniors. Previous recipients of an SCPA scholarship are no longer eligible. The recipient must be available to attend the 2018 Arcadia Music & Arts Symposium (June 28-30, 2018).
Submission ●
All entries must be submitted by March 30th at midnight.

Only one submission, per category, is allowed per person. Applicants are welcome to submit other compositions in other categories. Materials (audio recording, written score, transcripts/diploma) may be submitted here: goo.gl/KCnLgG
