Protective Fabric Finishes and Backings For the healthcare environment, many textile manufacturers offer a wide array of protective finishes, custom backings and flame-resistant treatments. Some of the available treatment options include, but are not limited to, Crypton®, Gore Seating Protection®, Nano-Tex®, Nano-Tex with Durablock® and Teflon®. Please contact your textile manufacturer for assistance on finishes to enhance the performance or applications of your fabrics.

Finishes All specifications are subject to change without notice. All frames are solid birch and birch veneers. Other wood species are available, please call for custom quotation. Due to natural differences in wood and veneer before finishing, slight variations in color may occur.

Nevins can match most veneer and wood finishes. Please provide Nevins with (2) labeled samples that are at least 3” x 3” at the time the order is placed. Customer’s stain to match samples will not be returned to them. All orders requiring a Stain to Match may extend the standard leadtime.

COM Fabric Nevins will quote COM fabric. For COM orders, customers order must include the following: 1) Fabric Make (Textile manufacturer name) 2) Fabric Style 3) Fabric Color and Number 4) Specify right-way or railroad application (railroad will be the default if not specified). 5) For stripe or pattern, specify vertical or horizontal application 6) For reversible fabrics, a swatch of the COM must be provided to Nevins, clearly indicating which side should be exposed. Nevins will not be held responsible for wear, fading or performance of any fabrics whether supplied by the Customer or by Nevins. Nevins inspects fabrics for mill imperfections, however, Nevins will not be held responsible for defects, color inaccuracies, dye lot variations or other such flaws. Nevins assumes no responsibility for the flame retardancy of any COM. Customers are solely responsible for making sure that COM complies with all applicable codes and regulations.

California 133 Fire Code Nevins can enhance bench components to include a Burngard Barrier cloth and DuPont™ Kevlar® thread stitching. When these elements are used in conjunction with CAL 117 certified fabric, our benches will meet CAL 133 testing criteria. Please call Nevins for quotation. Removable Seat Covers Nevins can modify seat cushion covers to include a zipper for easy removal . All zippered seat cushions will have a boxier appearance. The Eno II bench requires a sub-base to be added to the structure. Please check with the fabric manufacturer regarding fabric care and cleaning recommendations. Bariatric Enhancement The Jennifer, Anna, Sussex and Eno II benches may be enhanced to accommodate bariatric needs. Bariatric enhanced features include increased seat depth, seat height, arm height and can safely accommodate 500 pounds or greater.
