Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6 (NLT) 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) 7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) • Casting you cares upon the Lord is done through the prayer of commitment. As we cast our cares, we are committing our problems to Him • We can prevent problems and situations by simply casting our cares upon the Lord and letting Him begin to work the problems out! •
Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him also and He will do it. Psalm 37:5 (AMP) God is not going to TAKE your cares from you, YOU are going to have to do something about them by casting them onto the Lord yourself.

God’s Word is very plain on this subject, He does not want His children to by full of worry and anxiety or burdened down with the cares of life! 25

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Matthew 6:25-27 (NLT) We may have things we need to plan for in the future, but God doesn’t want us filled with worry or anxiety over it. You CAN plan for the future in a carefree, anxiety-free, worry-free manner.
Cast Your Cares on the Lord Once and for All • Once you cast your care, problem, or situation on the Lord, don’t take it back! You have taken it back from the Lord (and He no longer has it) if: o You are still trying to figure out the solution to your particular problem o If you are lying awake at night not sleeping because of the situation o You are unable to eat over the cares that you have • If you have taken back your problem from the Lord, then all your praying about the situation is in vain and will not work. It doesn’t work because YOU still have the problem! • The Amplified version of 1 Peter 5:7 says to cast your cares… ONCE AND FOR ALL. This isn’t a do it once a day proposition. Worry is a Sin • Worrying and being hindered in faith are tied together • If you are a child of God, He requires your faith. Do not doubt God’s Word! • Matthew 6 is very clear on worry, there is no ambiguity 6
•
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. Philippians 4:6 (AMP) We sin when we don’t obey the Word by taking our cares to the Lord and leaving them there
Learning to Cast Your Cares upon the Lord • Casting your cares to the Lord doesn’t mean that the problems, issues, or concerns don’t exist; it just means you don’t have them anymore. • When the Lord has your worries, cares, and problems, He can do something about them! • When you feel worry / fret coming on you, take action immediately! • The enemy will continue to work through thoughts and suggestions to bring the issues to your mind, remind him that you have already given it the Lord!

Don’t think for a minute that you can’t give your cares to the Lord. If the bible says you can do it, then you can do it! If you have cares that you need to cast, close your eyes and name them one by one as you give them to the Lord. And once you cast them, leave them there.
