Abstract: In this work we present the study of bioconversion of cowpea shells in solid state fermentation with edible mushrooms, Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus pulmonarius so as to upgrade its nutritional values and digestibility for its use as ruminants feed. The results obtained showed an increase in the crude protein (CP) from 12.25% for the control to 17.04% for P. ostreatus degraded cowpea husk (POT) and 15.41% for the P. pulmunarius degraded cowpea husk (PPT).
