HELPING SPECIFIC BUSINESS SECTORS.
INDUSTRY-FIRST INNOVATION.
Part of BMW Group’s award-winning approach is to tailor new products for sectors of the market who have very particular needs.
Helping introduce new thinking and ways of operating in the fleet sector.
Service Alerts BMW Business Medium and small fleets now have a specific division that has been created entirely for their needs. Called BMW Business, a team of new account managers work closely every day with the 500 or so people in the BMW network that deal with small and medium fleet customers, ensuring they receive the benefits, expertise and scale of the BMW Group Corporate Sales operation alongside their local BMW contacts.
The BMW Chauffeur Programme The new BMW Chauffeur Programme provides a number of benefits for chauffeur services of any size, with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty, 24/7 Emergency Service and a like-for-like vehicle replacement service. There are also attractive finance rates specifically designed for high-mileage users, including an industryleading four year-120,000 mile package. This was introduced as a result of feedback from that sector on the difficulty of obtaining competitive leasing terms for their specific high mileage needs. A new network of BMW Chauffeur Specialist Service Outlets ensures that chauffeur businesses remain as unaffected as possible by any work that may need to be done, and offer extended opening and Fast Lane sevicing to minimise downtime during crucial working hours. advertisement feature
BMW is developing a system whereby all cars monitor themselves to ensure they are in fit condition on the roads. The car automatically reports back to BMW HQ in Munich when it has reached a service interval or warning lights appear, and that information is then passed to the owner. This level of data will have a significant impact on SMR costs. The system is being used by leasing company Alphabet, as part of its award-winning Teleservice programme, ensuring that its BMW cars are serviced regularly, are running with tyres at the correct pressure, have brakes in the right condition, and all other systems are running at the levels set by the manufacturer.
BMW E-Call BMW has had E-Call available on models for a number of years, but in an industry first in 2015 it was introduced as standard across the range, and it will become standard on MINI models this year. An embedded SIM card in the car, operating separately from the user’s phone, ensures that in an emergency, or with the deployment of airbags, the car’s location can be traced and the occupant put through to our dedicated call centre to arrange help.
