Stella May Higby,of Howells, NY, passed away Wednesday, December 12th, peacefully, at her residence. She was 91. Stella was born in Town of Deerpark, NY on January 3, 1921, a daughter of the late Harry G. and Myrtle Hoffman Perry. She was a lady of many talents as a homemaker, also worked many years as a waitress with over twenty years of service for Kuhl's Highland House. A noted Orange County genealogist and her extensive research on Orange County Cemeteries was documented in the book, "Greenville; The Land and It's People." She also wrote many poems about things that were important in her life. She was always there for everyone. A member of St Paul's United Methodist Church Middletown, NY. She is survived by her husband of seventy years Philip P. Higby at home, her chidlren: Philip G. Higby and his wife Barbara of Otisville; Marie L, and her husband Frank Maraday, of Middletown; Joan L., and her husband John Sullivan, of Greenville; 8 grandchildren Paul Higby, and his wife Julie of Otisville; Erin Higby, of Liberty; Gerald Bronner, and his wife Pamela of Deltona, FL; Amy and her husband James Barbuti, of Palm Coast, FL;Sally, and her husband Jason Mankoo, of Mt Hope: Jennifer Weber, of Westtown; Jonathan Clemmons and his wife Joan of Greenville; Jason Clemmons and his wife Cynthia of Glens Spey; her Brother Donald R Perry and his wife Lehah of Greenville; and Great Aunt Gertrude Beach, of Pocatello.
