Business Development Position: We are looking for the right person to lead our business development activities. ECS is a small company, and so the responsibilities of this position will be broad. This position will report to the president, Tim O’Neill. Responsibilities will include contributing to and managing marketing communications, managing opportunity contact databases, conducting client surveys, assembling proposals (technical and financial), managing trade-show logistics, attending tradeshows, and developing sales relationships within the organic recycling industry. The successful candidate will need to be committed to sustainable practices in general, and be very interested in learning about and promoting the recycling of organic materials in particular. To succeed at ECS the candidate should be selforganized and motivated to learn about the science and practice of large-scale composting. This position will require the candidate to be comfortable multitasking and adjusting to ever-changing priorities. Relevant experience is required in the form of working experience or training in science, environmental regulations, solid waste/recycling industry, and/or the construction industry. Required Skills / Attributes: Enjoy developing working relationships with a wide variety of people (including researchers, engineers, management, and loader operators). Have scientific / engineering / technical training or experience Possess and be able to demonstrate excellent listening and verbal communication, technical writing, and analytical / quantitative analysis skills Able to balance creative problem solving and realism Maintain an inner drive to get the detail right and to achieve high quality results Have an ability to multi-task and nimbly adjust course as needs change

Be willing to travel to represent the company at conferences and meetings (4-6 times/year) in North America Demonstrate fluency with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Adobe PDF, Web-site content management software, and Mail Chimp.
