Call for Authors Special Issue: Social Justice in Forensic Nursing Deadline for Submission September 1, 2017 The Journal of Forensic Nursing is currently seeking original articles, review papers, and case reports for a special issue to be published in 2018 highlighting research and scholarship related to social justice issues and forensic nursing. Researchers, clinicians, educators, and others whose work interfaces social justice, violence, issues in criminal justice, and forensic nursing, are invited to submit articles. We are particularly interested in the following suggested topics, however other topics of relevance to forensic nursing will also be considered: • • • • • •

Special considerations in vulnerable populations Trauma informed care Advocacy Role and responsibility of the nurse in social justice Access to care Policy implications

Social determinants of health Ethical practice Health equity Application of social justice principles in practice People with complex healthcare needs Social justice and nursing education

All submissions should explicitly connect to forensic nurses and forensic nursing practice.
