TJQE Call for Workshops General Information Taijiquan Enthusiasts Organization invites experienced martial artists and health practitioners in all health disciplines to submit proposals for . Taijiquan, Qigong, Baqua, Xingyi, Push Hands, Wushu, or any other internal martial art focused on self defense; Sword, Fan, Pole, Stick, or any other martial weapon; Yoga, Pilates, Myofascial Release, Meditative practices, Massage practices, or any other hands-on integrative health practice. Submission deadline is November 1, 2010 Workshop leaders may apply to submit their proposal on-line by going to http://TaijiquanEnthusiasts.org and filling out the Workshop Proposal Application and submitting a description. Workshops must be submitted for one of these tracks; Forms, Qigong, Weapons, Push Hands, Hands-on Health Practices, or Other. Workshop leaders are expected to be highly experienced in the topic or practice they are proposing to teach. A minimum of ten years of experience is expected, along with appropriate certifications or peer referrals. Workshop leaders may submit a maximum of four proposals. Each proposal must be for a different track. TJQE will only accept a maximum of two proposals, however. All workshop presenters must certify their intention to register for and attend the Festival to present the workshop if it is accepted. (TJQE can no longer offer to pay for travel or rooming expenses for the Festival workshop presenters. However, if at all possible, workshop presenters will be reimbursed as much of their expenses as finances allow, as described in the Sunday dinner accounting report.) Workshop leaders from previous years who achieved high evaluation scores will received special consideration and choice of time slots, but they must still submit a proposal by the deadline date.
Review process Proposals are reviewed by two reviewers. Presenters will be notified of acceptance by January 1, 2010.
Promotion Opportunity Qualified workshop descriptions will be selected from the submission proposals to be published on the Taijiquan Enthusiasts Organization website. [email protected] Presenters are expected to bring their own weapons or any other aid they might need for teaching. If weather permits, most workshops may be held outside.

Kutztown University Tai Chi Club is a student organization that serves as a chapter of the larger organization. Part of your registration may be tax deductible.
