Canon EOS Rebel T4i user, This is to inform you that a product advisory has been issued for the EOS Rebel T4i digital SLR camera. It has been determined that the exterior rubber grip on some units of the Canon EOS REBEL T4i digital SLR camera may change colour after a short period of time. How to identify if the product is affected: Not all units of the EOS Rebel T4i digital SLR camera are affected by this phenomenon. To identify if the product has been affected please check the camera’s serial number. If the sixth digit of the serial number is “1” please follow the procedure below. If the sixth digit of the serial number is “2” or higher the camera is not affected. Procedure: Visit: http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/serial/eosdigital1/x6i-650d-t4i.html Enter the 12-digit serial number (reference in the image below) from the camera then click submit One of the following messages will appear, o “Your camera is NOT affected” - No further action required. o “Your camera is affected” - Please see the instructions below.
