Research & Agriculture Animal Husbandry RA07H $10.577 - $14.808/hourly Assistant Zone Assistant Husbandry Technician Provide daily husbandry of laboratory animals to include observation of animals, handling and restraint, feeding and watering, changing cages/racks, and sanitizing animal quarters and equipment. Operate and/or use supplies and equipment necessary to perform the husbandry duties. Provide daily record keeping for animals and room environments. Minimum Qualifications: High School education or equivalent. RA14H $12.692 - $19.038/hourly Associate Zone Husbandry Technician Provide basic daily husbandry of laboratory animals to include more technical procedures such as animal identification, collecting biological samples, and administering medications. Maintain accurate animal records in addition to basic sanitizing supplies and equipment, many use autoclaves, necropsy equipment, and laminar flow hoods. Receive and store materials and supplies. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent in veterinary technology, laboratory animal science or related field. 2 years experience in a laboratory environment to include some experience with animal care. RA15H $13.894 - $20.865/hourly Associate Zone Veterinary Technician Provide support to the veterinary staff in collecting biological samples. Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures, take radiographs, provide pre and post-operative care of animals, and assist in surgery. Operate and maintain equipment such as anesthesia machines, diagnostic laboratory equipment, and other specialized instruments. Administer medications and medical treatments. Maintain and store inventions of medical and diagnostics supplies. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent in veterinary, biological or related field. 1 year experience in a veterinary surgery clinic setting. Certified as AALAS Lab Animal Technician (RLAT). RA16H $15.240 - $22.885/hourly Associate Zone Lead Husbandry Technician Provide husbandry of animals in more specialized areas of the animal facility to include barrier and biocontainment areas. Maintain supplies, feed and bedding inventories and storage. Assist researchers and veterinary staff when needed. Train entry-and mid-level technicians. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent in a scientific field. 1 year laboratory animal experience.
