Oliver is a Dora Award nominee and a veteran of both stage and screen. His previous Canadian Stage credits include The Weir, The Pillowman, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane (Dora Award nomination). He has spent three seasons at the renowned Stratford Festival with the following selected credits: Richard III, Hosanna, Peter Pan, Macbeth, and Cyrano de Bergerac. Other stage credits include RED (Belfrey Theatre/MTC); God of Carnage (Vancouver Playhouse/MTC); A Whistle in the Dark (Company Theatre); Playboy of the Western World (Shaw Festival); Hamlet and Great Expectations (Soulpepper). Oliver was a series regular for the television show Rent-A-Goalie and The Line and has co-starred in episodes of Republic of Doyle, Lost Girl, and King among others.

Kevin MacDonald Denis

Originally from Vancouver, Kevin has worked for companies such as The Playhouse, Rumble, Pi, NeWorld, Bard on the Beach, Arts Club, ATP, NAC, Soulpepper and Canadian Stage. Kevin was last seen in Toronto as Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew and Banquo in Macbeth at Shakespeare in High Park. Often involved in new work, Kevin has participated in over 60 workshops and readings of new work at The Playhouse, The Banff Centre, Tarragon and ATP among others. Kevin was a member of the inaugural Soulpepper Academy and completed the Actors Conservatory at the Canadian Film Centre. Kevin has been nominated a number of times for his work as both an actor and a designer. He has appeared in a number of indie films and in the television series Cold Squad, Murdoch Mysteries, Cracked and The Listener. Kevin is a graduate of Studio 58. www.kevinmacdonald.ca

Courtney Ch’ng Lancaster June

Courtney Ch’ng Lancaster is a stage and screen actor. Originally from Nova Scotia, she has performed in venues across the country. Some of her favourite theatre credits include: The Barber of Seville, The Crucible, The Royal Comedians, Dirt (Soulpepper); The Ballad of Weedy Peetstraw (Summerworks); As You Like It (Blue Bridge Repertory); Pride and Prejudice (Citadel); Macbeth: Nach Shakespeare (Theatre Conspiracy/Gasheart); The Wild Party (PintSize Tall); Hamlet (Honest Fishmongers); and Tough! (Festival Antigonish). She is a graduate of the UBC BFA Acting Program, the Citadel/ Banff Professional Theatre Program, and the Soulpepper Academy.

Patricia Marceau Grace

Patricia has performed across Canada, China and in Moscow. Maggie Huculak Penelope

Maggie Huculak has been performing on Canadian stages for over thirty years. Most recent theatrical credits include the national and international tour of Half Life, Tout Comme Elle and Divisidero (Necessary Angel); Antigone, Travesties, A Christmas Carol and The Wild Duck (Soulpepper); The Woman in White (Theatre Aquarius); Age of Arousal (Nightwood); 4:48 Psychosis (Summerworks); The Clean House, The Glass Menagerie, Elizabeth Rex and The Black Bonspiel of Wullie MacCrimmon (Globe Theatre). TV and film credits: (recurring series) Puppets Who Kill, Wind at My Back, The Adventures of Shirley Holmes, Eric’s World and Queer as Folk. She is a six-time Dora nominee, receiving a Dora Award for Mein (co-author) and a Chalmer’s Award for Betrayal (co-author). Maggie was the sole narrator of the epic CBC documentary series Canada: A People’s History.

Joe has also written and performed: Sketching Sunshine, a one man show about Stephen Leacock (Theatre Orangeville); Hank Williams LIVE – 1952 (across Canada); and Could You Wait?, a wartime romance (Theatre Orangeville; Grand Theatre, London). Sarah Berthiaume graduated as an actor from the Lionel-Groulx Theatre Program in 2007. Sarah is a writer and actor. The first play she wrote, Le déluge après (The Flood Thereafter), was awarded the Égrégore prize in 2006 and selected by the SACD for a public reading at the prestigious Festival d’Avignon. It was then staged in 2008 at the Rubrique Theatre in Jonquière. The English translation by Nadine Desrochers was produced in October 2011 by Talisman Theatre at La Chapelle, in Montreal. Sarah has written numerous other plays, including Disparitions, Villes Mortes, P@ndora, and Yukonstyle. She was most recently a part of the iShow, a multimedia piece presented as part of Summerworks Theatre Festival in Toronto.

Bonnie Beecher Lighting Designer

Bonnie has designed lights for over 160 productions in theatre, opera and dance with companies that include American Ballet Theatre, The National Ballet of Canada, the Canadian Opera Company, Shaw Festival, Stratford Shakespeare Festival, New Zealand Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet Jorgen, Canadian Stage, Soulpepper Theatre Company, Opera Atelier, Opera Lyra, Pacific Opera Victoria, The National Arts Centre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Ballet Mannheim and Glimmerglass Opera. Bonnie lives in Toronto with her husband Glenn Davidson and sons Oliver and Jacob. Bonnie is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada.

Nadine Desrochers Translator

Nadine is a professor, dramaturg, and translator from Montreal. From 2001 to 2006, she worked at the Centre des auteurs dramatiques, overseeing translations in French, English, and Spanish. Her translation credits include Marilyn Perreault’s Rock, Paper, Jackknife…, Suzie Bastien’s The Medea Effect, Isabelle Hubert’s Gulnara’s Dress and Scenes from a Tree, a children’s production by Des mots d’la dynamite. Nadine also translated Heather Hermant’s ribcage: this wide passage to French. She has translated four plays by Sarah Berthiaume, two of which (The Flood Thereafter and Yukonstyle) are part of Canadian Stage’s 2013.2014 season. She is currently working on the translation of the play Billy (The Days of Howling) by Fabien Cloutier (nominated for a Governor General’s Award), to be produced by Talisman Theatre in 2014.

John Gzowski Sound Designer

John Gzowski is a musician and composer who’s done a lot of shows. He’s won a bunch of Dora Awards, lost a few more but is generally happiest when you don’t notice the sound and music at all, because that means it fits the production. But don’t go and try not to listen to it, just enjoy the show and see what happens. For Canadian Stage he’s broken celery and danced onstage for It’s A Wonderful Life (so well he won a Dora Award), worked on Cruel and Tender, Clean House and a couple of other ones. Ker Wells Director

Prior to entering the York University/Canadian Stage MFA program in Stage Direction, Ker Wells was a founding member of Primus Theatre (19891997) and Number Eleven Theatre (1998-2006). Original works as a director include Icaria, The Prague Visitor and The Curious History of Peter Schlemihl. Other work as a performer and creator includes The Confessions of Punch and Judy, Living Tall and Swimmer (68). As an actor, director and teacher Wells has toured across Canada, and to the U.S., Mexico, and Europe. Previously for Canadian Stage Wells directed Macbeth for Shakespeare in High Park in the summer of 2013. Struck, an original performance he directed with New York’s NACL Theatre, will run at HERE Arts in NYC in December. In January he will take up a post as associate professor in the School of Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University.
