Our approach to business All under one roof
Over the past four decades, NRS International has developed an enviable product range designed specifically for the humanitarian, public health and development sectors. You can rest assured that whatever product we offer, it is fully compliant with the highest industry standards.
We manufacture what we sell
We fully control our supply chain and manage the entire product development process from manufacturing through to final delivery. Our products are manufactured exclusively by H. Sheikh Noor-udDin & Sons (HSNDS) in Pakistan, our factory that employs 7,400 skilled workers. After leaving the factory, our expert logisticians facilitate the transportation of our products by air, sea and land to wherever they are required, and also maintain strategic stocks in Dubai and Lahore.
We never stand still
Innovation is in our blood. We work hand in hand with our clients, suppliers and beneficiaries in order to design new solutions and to continually improve our existing products. We are proud that we were the first manufacturer to offer affordable and fully fire retardant tents and tarpaulins to the humanitarian community, a truly life-saving innovation which won the Aid Innovation Challenge at AidEx 2014.
We care
We are strongly committed to a corporate social responsibility agenda which focuses on our staff, our products and production. The Bilqees Sarwar Foundation, a non-profit non-governmental organisation founded by NRS International’s chairing family, spearheads extensive charitable activities in Pakistan and beyond.

Protection We manufacture high quality, WHOPESrecommended DawaPlus® 2.0 insecticidal nets to combat malaria and other vector-borne diseases.
26
27
Malaria is a preventable and treatable disease. Yet every two minutes a child dies of malaria and more than a billion people remain at risk. TANA Netting is committed to improve the lives of people threatened by malaria and other vectorborne diseases by providing cost effective and high quality preventive products. 28
DawaPlus® 2.0 is a long-lasting insecticidal net (LLIN) recommended by the World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES).
Expertise and partnerships
We have an extensive understanding of the needs of our end-users and recognise the importance of quality products and solutions. We provide reliable logistical support to our clients from our Dubai head office to ensure the nets reach the beneficiaries as quickly as possible, even in hard-to-reach destinations. We are actively involved in global programmes and partnerships for the improvement of vector control tools, policies, advocacy and programme implementation. In addition, we have recently opened a cut-to-pack facility in Nigeria, as part of our commitment to fulfil the DawaPlus® legacy of producing nets locally in the world’s malarious regions.

Field testing and performance Field testing
Malaria Consortium in Uganda performed field tests on DawaPlus® 2.0 nets for a period of three years. In 2012, the Consortium published the final results. The Consortium confirmed the following: After 36 months of field use 83.3% (95% CI 65.3– 94.4) of the DawaPlus® 2.0 nets fulfilled the WHOPES criteria for the bioassay test, i.e. the criteria of 80% net survival rate for the WHOPES phase III evaluation were fulfilled. *Knockdown

DawaPlus® 2.0 has been validated under laboratory conditions in accordance with WHOPES protocols to determine its efficacy after a series of washes. DawaPlus® 2.0 meets the WHO LLIN criteria for efficacy after 20 washes: • •
95% knockdown after 60 minutes (3 minutes exposure time). 80% mortality after 24 hours (3 minutes exposure time).
After 30 washes WHOPES LLIN baseline criteria
* the percentage knockdown after 60 minutes ** the percentage of mosquito mortality after 24 hours

DawaPlus® Series DawaPlus® 2.0 Our core product is a long-lasting insecticidal net that lasts a minimum of 20 washes or three years. It is soft and durable and comes in different shapes, colours and sizes. We can accommodate product design to the requests of clients.
