CCCM partners in Dollow conducted a vulnerability assessment of all IDP households in Kabasa and Qansaxlay sites, reaching a total of 7,858 HHs. The data collected will provide updated population figures for both sites, as well as demographic data, and information about vulnerabilities in each HH (livelihoods, illnesses, disabilities). The purpose of the data is to allow service providers to target their services to the most vulnerable households in the camps.

The first CCCM meeting was held in Afgooye. There are currently 5 NGOs implementing integrated CCCM, protection and shelter projects in the area.
With the onset of early Gu rain in March, a number of IDP sites have been severely affected by flash floods in Banadir and Bay regions. CCCM Partners, together with camp leaders, have assessed the impact of flash flooding in IDP sites in Baidoa, Kismayo and Dollow. Partners in Dollow distributed sanitation tools to the camp leadership committees in both Kabasa and Qansaxlay sites to create household level drainage and elevate shelters to mitigate effects of flash floods and also elevated flood prone areas of the sites using sandbags and backfilling with soil.
To improve the living conditions and protection of IDPs in sites and settlements and ensure equitable access to services and assistance of all persons in need, with a clear focus on moving toward attaining durable solutions with full participation of the displaced and host communities.
Bossaso
CCCM conducted Eviction Risk Mapping in all IDP sites in Baidoa, Kismayo and Garowe. The mapping gathers information about the status of land lease agreements between landlords and the IDP tenants in order to identify sites that are at risk for evictions. The information is then passed to local authorities and protection partners for support to affected populations.
CCCM partners, with the support of the GBV sub cluster, conducted a safety audit of 47 IDP sites in Kismayo. The safety audit revealed safety concerns associated with service provision in the displacement sites
