Tours and Demonstrations - Free to Smithsonian Craft Show Attendees Wood Tour Friday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. Join Judy Chernoff, vice president of Collectors of Wood Art and docent at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, on a 45-minute tour on Friday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. of wood artists at the 2013 Smithsonian Craft Show (April 24-28). She will discuss wood as craft as you visit the booths of members of the Collectors of Wood Art exhibiting at this year’s show. Please meet by 2:00 p.m. at the F Street entrance of the National Building Museum. JURORS Jane Adlin, associate curator for design and architecture in the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Cindi Strauss, curator of modern and contemporary decorative arts and design, and assistant director of programming, at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Paul Kotula, a noted ceramicist and assistant professor of ceramics at Michigan State University

PROCEEDS from the Craft Show are distributed directly to the Smithsonian’s 19 museums and galleries, 9 research facilities, 20 libraries, and the National Zoo by the Smithsonian Women’s Committee through an annual competitive grants program.
