Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Smallcakes Downtown Warrensburg located at 118 W. Pine St., Warrensburg, MO. Chamber Member Relations Committee member Jeremey VanWey welcomed everyone who attended. Owners Steve and Tammy Long decided to purchase Smallcakes bringing it back to downtown Warrensburg with new management and a pastry chef. There were wonderful samples of treats that included mini cupcakes, dipped rice krispy treats, cake pops, muffins and much more! Anchoring the ribbon is Chamber Ambassador Mary Castro (left) and Chamber Board Chair Elect Sharri Carter (Right) as Steve prepares to cut the ribbon. For more information, call 660-362-1476 or visit their website at www.smallcakescupcakery.com or their Facebook page at Smallcakes Downtown. How to Build Productivity Through Rewards and Recognition By: Ben Peterson Employee recognition is one of the key drivers when motivating employees in the workplace, and 78 percent of employees would work harder if they were better recognized, according to Globoforce. It's really as simple as that. More recognition for work well done means happier, more engaged employees who are more invested in your organization and driven to produce great work. As simple as it is to say, it's more complicated to execute. From my experience in HR, I've found one of the most difficult tasks for HR professionals is finding "sticky" ways to retain and reward employees.
