2.1 Stereology

We did not find any significant difference between both hemispheres of Charadrius semipalmatus, we analyzed the number of neurons (RH=330.815 and LH=379.222), glial cells (RH=738.710 and LH=895.700) and the volume (RH=9,6mm3 and LH=10,7mm3). These results are very similar to studies in other migratory birds by (Guerreiro-Diniz et al. 2015). All comparisons were made using t-test assuming unequal variances with p
