Check Point continues to excel in independent NSS Labs tests and achieved a triple “Recommend” ratings for its network security products. In the NSS Labs NGFW Group test, Check Point received top scores for Security Effectiveness and Overall Protection. Check Point also excelled in NSS Labs’ latest round of Network Firewall and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) tests—earning a total of three “Recommend” ratings. A PERFECT SCORE IN SECURITY AND MANAGEMENT FIREWALL TESTS In the NSS Labs Firewall Group Test, Check Point achieved 100% for Security Effectiveness, Firewall Enforcement and Stability & Reliability in “Real-Word Protocol Mixes” and “21 KB HTTP Responses”. The Check Point 12600 Appliance with R75.40 Release delivered outstanding performance results while maintaining a low TCO of $11.72 per protected Mbps. BEST OVERALL PROTECTION IN IPS TESTS In the NSS Labs independent IPS Test, the Check Point 61000 with R75.40 Release achieved a near-perfect score of 99.0% for best overall protection. Once again, the Check Point IPS Software Blade performed exceptionally well continuing a tradition of strong performance in NSS Labs Network IPS tests. In its final report, NSS Labs notes that “Resistance to known evasion techniques was perfect, with the Check Point 61000 IPS R75.4 achieving a 100% score across the board in all related tests. IP fragmentation, TCP stream segmentation, RPC fragmentation, URL obfuscation, HTML Evasion and FTP evasion all failed to trick the product into ignoring valid attacks.
