Chinese Language Tests Copenhagen Business School is one of the official testing centers where people can take the following 4 Chinese language tests: 1. HSK – "Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi", which is the Chinese Proficiency Test 2. HSKK – "Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi", which is the Chinese Oral Proficiency Test 3.
YCT – Youth Chinese Test
4. BCT – Business Chinese Test (not offered in 2013).

The tests are organized by National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language ("Hanban"), the People’s Republic of China. Students who want to apply for admissions to bachelor's programs in Chinese universities and/or apply for bachelor's scholarships in China are required to pass HSK Level4.

3. YCT Youth Chinese Test, forkortet som YCT, er en kinesisk sprogtest rettet mod folkeskole- og gymnasieelever, som lærer kinesisk som fremmedsprog. Hovedformålet med testen er at vække elevens interesse for at lære kinesisk, at etablere kommunikation, og at få en forståelse for sproget såvel som kinesisk mentalitet. Ved at opnå sproglige fremskridt kan elevens selvtillid styrkes, og eleven bliver mere motiveret til at lære sproget.
YCT består af en skriftlig og en mundtlig test, som er uafhængige af hinanden. Den skriftlige test har 4 niveauer, mens den mundtlige har 2. Nedenstående skema viser hvor stort et ordforråd man skal have og hvor længe man skal have lært kinesisk for at kunne bestå de enkelte niveauer:

For at finde ud af hvilket niveau der passer til en, kan man tage en prøvetest på http://www.chinesetest.cn .Vælge sprog i højre øvre hjørne og klik på ”Practise” i sidens højre side. Vælg derefter et YCT niveau for at tage en prøvetest.
På http://www.chinesetest.cn kan man også melde sig til en YCT test (sprog vælges i hjemmesidens højre øvre hjørne).
Tilmelding foregår på flg. måde:
Først skal man oprette en profil på hjemmesiden ved at klikke her, indtaste e-mail adresse, en selvoprettet adgangskode, gentage koden. Derefter skal valideringskoden (”Validation Code”) læses og indtastes. Sæt kryds ud for feltet ” I have read and agree to Registration Agreement ” og klik derefter på knappen ”Submit” (man kan også angive nationalitet, modersmål, osv., dog ikke nødvendigt her).
Når profilen er oprettet, skal man klikke på denne side og finde ”Youth Chinese Test” vist med fed skrift. Vælg det ønskede niveau (”Level”) under ”Youth Chinese Test” for at gå til en ny side. Klik på knappen ”Register” i midten af den nye side. Der kommer en log-in side. Benyt e-mail adressen og adgangskoden fra step 1 til at logge på.
Så er man logget ind på selve tilmeldingssiden. Vælg kontinent og land (”Europe” – ”DENMARK”). Vælg derefter ”Copenhagen Business Confucius Institute” (”CBCI”) som ”Test Center” (test stedet). Husk også at vælge en dato for den pågældende test (”Test Date”). Sæt kryds ud for feltet ” I have read and agreed to the Instructions” og klik på “Submit”. En ny side dukker op, hvor man angiver flg. personlige oplysninger: fornavn og efternavn (”Name”), køn (”Gender”), fødselsdag, nationalitet, modersmål (”Mother Tongue”), hvilken type ID-kort der bruges (”ID Type”, kan f.eks. være pas), ID-kortnummer (f.eks. pasnummer), telefonnummer, osv. Kun felter markeret med * skal udfyldes. Klik derefter på ”Next Step”.
En ny side dukker op, og man bliver bedt om at uploade et legitimation foto (barhovedet, full-face). Fotoet skal være taget for nylig, med hvid baggrund, cirka 5 cm (2 inches) i højden, i JPG, GIF eller PNG format, 180 x 240 pixels. Billedfilen skal være mindre end 100 kb. Venligst læs ”Related Notes” i sidens højre side. Klik på ”Next Step” efter vellykket upload.
Endelig kommer siden ”Confirm Registration”. Her skal man bekræfte, at alle de personlige oplysninger er korrekt udfyldt. Man bekræfter ved at klikke på knappen ”Confirm and submit” (ellers kan man gå tilbage ved at klikke på ”Previous” og rette de udfyldte oplysninger). Der kommer en bekræftelsesside, hvilket betyder, at man er tilmeldt YCT testen!
Efter vellykket tilmelding og cirka 2 uger inden selve testen finder sted kan man hente adgangsbilletten til testen (”test admission ticket”). Klik på http://www.chinesetest.cn , indtast e-
mail adresse og adgangskode i øverste højre hjørne for at logge ind på hjemmesiden. Klik på ”Enter Personal Information Center” og derefter ”Print” i menuen til venstre. Dér kan man udskrive adgangsbilletten. På billetten står éns navn, køn, ID-kortnummer, nationalitet, fødselsdag, test tid og test sted, osv.. Tjek omhyggeligt og grundigt, at disse oplysninger er korrekt skrevet. Hvis oplysningerne er forkerte, risikerer man at blive nægtet adgang til sprogtesten. Adgangsbilletten og et legitimationskort med foto skal medbringes til testen.

Registration fee: DKK 100 Testing Fee: BCT (Listening & Reading): DKK 400 BCT (Speaking & Writing): DKK 500 Business Chinese Test is a state-level standardized test designed to assess the Chinese proficiency of non-native speakers engaged in business activities. BCT is developed by Peking University under the entrustment of Office of Chinese Language Council International (“Hanban” for short).
BCT assesses the communicative ability of test takers using Chinese in a wide range of businessrelated career occasions, daily life and social interaction. The test mainly features practicality and communicativeness. It consists of two relatively independent tests: BCT (Listening & Reading) and BCT (Speaking & Writing). Test takers may take one or both of them at a time.
Test Purposes BCT is open for the whole world and severs various institutions and individuals which want to assess the business Chinese proficiency of relevant persons. Its main purposes include: •
Provide a basis for employers to assess the business Chinese proficiency of relevant persons when making such decisions as employee recruitment, selection, placement and promotion;
•
Help relevant teaching and training institutions to assess the business Chinese proficiency of candidates in recruitment and class division;
•
Assess the practical effects achieved form the teaching and training of relevant teaching and training institutions;
•
Provide a certificate of business Chinese proficiency for any person who seeks for a job ,takes an interviews or wants to be promoted;
•
Help Chinese learners to understand and improve their business Chinese ability.
Standards for BCT Levels BCT has five levels in total to describe the business Chinese proficiency of test takers, namely: •
Level 1: Incapable of communication in Chinese in business activities.
•
Level 2: Capable of basic communication in Chinese in business activities.
•
Level 3: Capable of fairly effective communication in Chinese in business activities.
•
Level 4: Capable of fairly skillful communication in Chinese in business activities.
•
Level 5: Capable of appropriate communication in Chinese in business activities.
Test Scores and Certificate BCT consists of two relatively independent examinations: BCT (Listening & Reading) and BCT (Speaking & Writing). The score for each specific skill (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) is 0-500, 100 for each level. The total score for listening and reading constitutes the overall score of BCT (listening & reading) ranging from 0 to 1000 points and each level consisting of 200 points. So does the overall score of BCT (speaking & writing). Any test taker can receive a score report if he attends listening & reading or speaking & writing test in line with requirements. If the total score for listening and reading comes to 201-400 points, Level 2 "BCT Certificate (listening & reading) "will be awarded; If the total score for speaking and writing comes to 201-400 points, Level 2 "BCT Certificate (speaking & writing) "will be awarded. So do Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 certificates. There is no Level1 certificate in BCT. The score shall be valid for two years from the testing date. Hanban shall be responsible for issuing "Business Chinese Test Certificate."
